Very Nice End-Unit 3rd Floor Condo

5 of 5
This is a very nice condo on the 3rd floor and an end unit. The pictures are accurate. This condo was very clean, and when some things were missing upon our arrival such as laundry detergent and an ironing board, the property manager took care of it immediately. The best thing about this condo is the balcony. It spans the living room and bedroom, and is equipped with a table for 4 for meals and two lounge chairs. You can see some of the ocean, all of the courtyard, and even look out towards the interior of the island. The kitchen is well equipped. We used it to cook all of our meals for breakfast and lunch, and occasionally dinner. That saves a lot of money. Lastly, the property manager, Linda, is very helpful and responds very quickly. We were at the resort when a tropical storm came in and shut down the airport for 3 days, delaying when we could leave. She helped us stay later, and even brought us some card games and DVDs to help pass the time while the storm rolled through.

Excellent Vacation

5 of 5
The moment we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant security guard who promptly gave us the keys to our beautiful condo and showed us where to park and the location of our room. Many of my vacations upon check in, have required another hour wait and this was not the case at the Atrium resort. Olga the manager and the staff were outstanding. The Atrium has a lot to offer, a great pool, a fitness center, a small coffee-pastry shop. It is a seven minute walk to Leeward beach which I think is beautiful. The Atrium resort has beach chairs and water for their guests. 3 km away is a new grocery market that makes excellent cappuccinos and great sandwiches. I would recommend renting a car and we rented from Bayside rentals-they were also great. They dropped the car off at the airport, gave us directions and were professional. The Atrium also has a BBQ every Friday which is outstanding and very inexpensive-$20 considering you can't eat anywhere on the island for that price. The food is fresh. Although Atrium is not in the heart of Grace Bay-I loved it because the nights were very peaceful and it was a 5 min drive by car. I also want people to know that the Turks has some of the nicest and helpful people in the world.

Depends on your Expectations, but I loved it!

5 of 5
For me, this fit the bill!!! Budget-wise, you cannot beat the Atrium. Just know what you want/expect from your accommodation. If you want convenient bars & restaurants, sorry, but you must drive 10 minutes into town for all that or walk 2.5 miles. This is not a hotel/club med-type resort - there is also no maid service. As long as you know how to run a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, and can pick up you own stuff, you will be fine. It is nice to know that no one is coming in when you are away. We bought groceries at the IGA, and made all our own breakfasts and lunches so we only spent money going out to dinner (food is expensive!). Next year, this resort will have a great bakery, restaurant and clothing store. Here's another thing, Grace Bay beach is where all the big hotels are and thus, all the people. If people-watching is your thing, hike it down there (2.5 miles). The Atrium is nearer to Pelican Beach which is Grace Bay beach without people. In my book, this is a good thing! Plus, if you go exploring you will find other nice beaches. The pool at the atrium is nice, but the hot tub is not hot. I spent most of my time in the ocean so I didn't really need the pool all that much, but it is nice to walk out to it anytime. The condo itself is exactly as pictured. The shower has great water pressure. The kitchen is very nice. Wi-fi works great. Bring sleep mask if you can't sleep with light in your room because there are not blackout shades or heavy curtains. My visit (the week before Thanksgiving) was well-timed in that there were hardly any people. I met three visitors, but other than that maybe saw 3 other families the entire week at various times. This place may have a very different feel when it is crowded. For me, it was the peaceful, serene and relaxing place I had hoped it would be. The gym finally had air-conditioning restored on last day. One treadmill didn't work, but other than that, what the heck are you in the gym for????? Go walking, swimming, bikings and get a tan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a hair dryer, beach towels and ice cube trays for people who wonder. You will need to pick up extra toilet paper (only starter ones provided). If the price doesn't go up too much when all the other amenities arrive next year, I would definitely go back. My top restaurant recommendation to all of you is the LEMON CAFE! And yes, you must rent a car if you stay here. Security and Manager are very friendly too!
