Wonderful time-3 generations

5 of 5
We loved our visit to Turks & Caicos. The home was comfy, well-maintained and clean. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the sound to visit the iguana island--we saw at least 15 wild iguanas. We cooked most of the time and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need! It was difficult for my 72 -year -old mother to climb the steps up to the house because they are natural stone and no railing to get you up those last few steps, but once inside she had no need to leave the main level. Tips-go to chinsons to eat-- amazing food. Shop at IGA. Go on Caicos dream tours--conch tour, snorkel, "hunt conch" and they prepare it for you! Snorkel by the bight. We normally spend $200 per week for groceries in the states-we spent closer to $800 on the island, and ate out three times during our one week stay....dining out ran us around $160 with tip for 6 people each meal. I also packed a medium sized hard shelled suitcase with peanut butter, waffle mix, syrup, cereal (which was $10 per box on the island), jelly, Pringles, and other misc dry good foods-no problems with customs. The empty suitcase stored our three conch shells and starfish plus other miscellaneous souvenirs purchased.

Perfect!

5 of 5
We stayed at Acacia Villa recently [2014]. My husband and I loved it‼ what a fabulous villa! The pool is like something out of a Hollywood movie…the décor is lovely, with everything anyone could want to feel at home. Chuck was a wonderful host, making our stay easy and private. We want to go back as soon as possible. This villa made our stay in Providenciales even more special. [Our pick for a great restaurant: Hemingway’s. The food was spectacular, and the prices reasonable.]

Best. Vacation. Ever.

5 of 5
When you book a vacation, you can only hope to find the perfect place that's worth every penny you spend. This is it! We are a group of 3 families (6 adults, 3 children) that have been on several vacations together including Hawaii and Grand Cayman, and nothing compared to our recent trip to TCI and Villa Moonshadow. Renting a house not only gives you room to gather, but it also gives you privacy from other vacationers as well as from your group if needed. This house has plenty of space for both! The amenities are second to none with granite throughout, beautiful furnishings, comfortable beds and everything else you could ever want or need. But the outside amenities and location are what really make this house a gem. Between the decent size swimming pool, the turquoise water off your back dock and the serenity and white sands of Taylor Beach (just a 3 minute walk or kayak) you honestly never want or need to leave the house. The grocery store is conveniently located (although a little pricey), so just bring along as many dry goods as you can. You can also buy fish and lobster right off the dock every afternoon, it doesn't get any fresher than that! Finally, the owners, Lana and Charlie, are second to none. They are attentive and genuinely care if you are happy and well taken care of. In fact, she checked in on us and we mentioned that the kitchen could use a sharper knife for filleting fish and she actually dropped new ones off for us the next day! How's that for hospitality? For us, it's not a matter of if we're going back, it's simply a matter of when.
