My husband and I, our two young children and a friend of ours stayed at this treehouse paradise for two weeks. Immediately upon entering the property the view took our breath away. The water was the most unbelievable shade of blue we had ever seen! The property itself was simple and cozy with amazing open air breezes wafting through all day and all night. The home was deliciously private and cozy, so much so that we really had no desire to leave! Every morning the entire family did our yoga practice on the front deck of the main house as the sun rose followed by breakfast and a dip in the warm turquoise water. The consistency of the sand was a bit squishy, and the kids had no problem swimming from sun up to sun down. The adults also loved the water, but preferred to wear our water shoes. There are two top notch kayaks that we used quite a bit to visit the small islands in Chalk Sound where we loved to observe the rear rock iguanas and the beautiful birds nesting in the foliage. The house had everything that we might need to feel at home, which was important since we did a lot of cooking and loafing around. There was one minor glitch when the DVD player did not work, but the house manager Denise resolved that issue right away. Speaking about Denise, she was amazing! She really went out of her way to make sure our stay was pleasant from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Colin was also just an email away if there were any questions or concerns.
Of course we did venture out and did quite a bit of snorkeling on Grace Bay as well visited the conch plant and took a semi submarine tour, which we highly suggest. We also had some delicious conch fritters and snapper at Horse-Eyed Jack's restaurant off Millenium Highway and Flamingo Cafe next to Club Med as well as the most amazing jerk chicken and pork at Chinson's Bar and Grill right off Leeward Highway. We celebrated our son's 9th birthday there and the owners treated us like family, even bringing out a slice of cake for our son on the house!
Needless to say, we made so many fine memories at Poinciana that we will never forget!
