Excellent

5 of 5
Lovely apartment on 3rd floor. Great balcony for sundowners, ice maker provided buckets of ice for the occasion. Clean and tidy, air conditioning worked perfectly throughout. Fantastic bed and al linen. No sign of mildew in the shower reported by a previous writer?? Only thing missing was that could do with a couple of proper chairs on the balcony instead of the stools. The love nest was original and useful! Hammock bit of a waste as its slung too low, I'm an expert as I have slept in a hammock in the Royal Navy in the early 60's The welcome fruit bowl and rum went down a treat. We requested a case of beer ( paid on receipt), which was chilled to perfection after our slog across the Atlantic and local customs. The airport arrivals baggage carousel only held about 10 bags which were then removed and stacked in rows. If you arrive from the US (which we did last year), about 5 flights land within 30 minutes, so the baggage hall is chaos. We found the car provided just across the road from the terminal, very basic but A/C worked and it was automatic. Saved a fortune as local cab drivers must all be millionaires at prices they charge. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time, if you need sand its a short walk, take a gallon of sun screen as there is no shade. New gas BBQ fantastic. Realy good, highly recommended. The Perfect Spot

5 of 5
We spent nine wonderful nights at the Grace Bay Townhomes. The accommodations were fantastic. The home was spotless when we arrived and had all the conveniences you could ask for. The cupboards were well stocked which made it easy to dine at home but it was just as easy to dine out as the location was within walking distance to some really fabulous restaurants. We would highly recommend a dinner out at Coco Bistro which is well within walking distance. The owner makes a point of greeting all of his guests at their table and both the food and ambience ( tables set in a palm tree forest) were superb. We also enjoyed the food and service at Mango Reef and relaxed with desserts and drinks at Somewhere where we enjoyed some great live music. We also enjoyed getting up early and walking to the French bakery where we enjoyed fresh Petites Pains Aux Chocolate with a fresh cup of coffee for our breakfast, bringing back wonderful memories of Paris. The beach was also within walking distance as was the grocery store so a car really was not necessary. The beach at Grace Bay offers beautiful fine white sand and clear turquoise waters and was terrific for taking long walks. Within a short five minute walk you had access to shops and also all the tours offered on the island. At the townhome my husband and I really enjoyed the privacy that the house offered. Once you were on the property you were surrounded by beautiful palm trees and tropical gardens which could be enjoyed from the screened in porch and by the pool. Scott and Dana really did a terrific job in designing both the landscape and the layout of the home. They were friendly and welcoming. They provided a local phone with minutes which we found very useful in making reservations. Every time you stepped outside of the house you were greeted by the beautiful scent of the Bougainvillea which were in full bloom. There seem to always be a beautiful breeze blowing through the palms trees which was extremely calming at night as we slept with the windows open. The convenience of having the pool within steps of our back door was great. We also made use of the grill and often found ourselves lounging in the pool as we waited for our dinner to cook. It was truly a piece of paradise. Thank you Dana and Scott for all your hospitality, we look forward to returning.

Wow!

5 of 5
This condo is clean, spacious and beautiful! We enjoyed the screen porch, too. Essential supplies (paper towels, bathroom tissue, laundry detergent, etc.) to get us started were provided. We had plenty for our 6 night stay for 4 people. The location provides a great balance of available activities and solitude. Our group consisted of two mothers and their daughters (both in their 20's). The Grandview was well-laid out with patio furniture and a gazebo area with hammocks. The staff were also pleasant as they did yard work, etc. We enjoyed relaxing every on the most beautiful beach ever, using the lounge chairs and umbrellas. We looked forward to a couple who walked down the beach each day selling gelato. It was delicious! The "girls" used the SUP's and the bikes provided in the garage. We went on a half day snorkeling excursion with the company recommended by the owner- Island Vibes- (snorkeling on the reef, a visit to Iguana Island, and diving off the boat.) One evening we had a wonderful sunset cruise from Blue Haven Marina- you may want to have them check your names on the roster before you leave the marina, as we accidently went out on the wrong boat! Still, it was a memorable cruise! Our group snorkeled on our own at Coral Gardens and Smith Reef. At Coral Gardens there is a roped-off area. You will need to swim around the outside of the roped-off circle. If you have water shoes, wear them at Smith Reef due to the rocks and sea urchins. Good snorkeling at both spots. We had meals at Magnolia, Bay Bistro, Bella Luna, Hemingway's, Big Al's, Pelican Bay next door at The Royal West Indies, and the informal restaurant at Blue Haven Marina. All were very good. Magnolia was our all-time favorite. Magnolia is on a hillside looking out at the sunset and then the lights! The IGA Grocery store was well-stocked with name-brands, but expect high prices. We usually did breakfast and lunch at the condo and went out for dinner. We rented a car from Grace Bay Car Rentals at the airport. It took a little time to get acclimated to driving on the left hand side of the road and to using the roundabouts, but the rental car gave us the flexibility to travel around the island and made grocery shopping easier. What a memorable vacation!
