Cottage by the sea.

5 of 5
We super loved this place. The location was fantastic! The cottage was very clean and well equipped with new and quality linens. It also had brand new appliances and a new king size which we loved. It was tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. It had a great screened in sunroom at the back of the cottage which made for wonderful relaxing evenings. The landscaping was also very pretty and cooled the cottage nicely. WIFI, TV and a property manager who was very accommodating. We didn't want to leave. A great place!!!

A great pleasure

5 of 5
This was our first stay at Crabtree though a fifth visit to Turks and Caicos for 2 out of our party of six. A pleasure in part because the bungalows are right on a quiet, beautiful beach with easy access into the water (no ironshore here), in part because of how very well-furnished and -equipped they are. Units 2 and 3 with a connecting door are good for family groups. Covered porches were constantly used. We cooked many meals and appreciated Jessalyn's tips on finding fresh vegetables, homemade bread and specialty ice cream. When we were there (Christmas through New Year's) we were unable to find fresh fish. Ate at Barbie's, Osprey, Bohio, Margaritaville, Sandbar and Cool Beans. The water off Crabtree is a good place for beginning snorkelers to practice - there are a variety of fish out front - but overall the snorkelling from shore on Grand Turk is disappointing for experienced snorkelers. Going out at least once with a tour operator is recommended - floating over the 7,000-foot deep Grand Turk trench is a spooky but exhilarating experience. So - for other reasons - is Margaritaville. when cruise ships are in. We recommend visiting the National Museum (and its gift shop); listening to "rake and scrape" music; a day trip to snorkel/dive and eat on Salt Cay; and enjoying the sweet-natured potcakes (stray dogs) that are everywhere. Grand Turk is not for people who want shopping and nightlife but good for divers and those who want a quiet, largely self-directed vacation.

Fantastic place!

5 of 5
Kier and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. The house is brand new with great high end furnishings, and the views of North Creek are beautiful. Not many other houses around, so great visibility and good amount of privacy. The wildlife in the area is great as well; we were visited by wild donkeys and horses every day! The house is a little ways from town, but we had access to a golf cart which made it really fun and much easier to get to town. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend Kier and her family as hosts.
