Beatiful flat in perfect location

5 of 5
We rented Evin's Galata 4 room apartment for two weeks. It was a multigenerational family gathering. We had the greatest time. First the apartment is situated in a wonderful and friendly neighborhood. All amenities were very close-by. the bonus was a fresh fruit and vegetable truck that would park in front the building door every day. The area abounds coffee shops and restaurants and everyone is extremely friendly . The apartment is very clean and comfortable and Evrim made every effort possible to make our stay enjoyable. The building is an architectural gem with beautiful heavy front door and great decoration taste with different other details- The apartment is very secure and well equipped. We had numerous memorable meals put together with fresh ingredients from local shops or very delicious take-outs from surrounding restaurants (both traditional Turkish and international food). Also best area for great shopping finding great deals!! Many historical sites to visit in the area (including the Galata Tower). Also Dervish whirling dance show every weekend near by- So bottom line, if you want to have a great Turkish/Istanbul experience this is the place to go.

good for big families or groups, central as well.

5 of 5
We have stayed 6 nights at Taksim bomonti vip apartments and it was nice to spend time there. As location it is very central, just 3 minutes walk from metro station but we mainly walked to Taksim Square or at nights take a taxi, it is easier and cheaper as well. Apartment is very nice and also useful decorated, we were 8 people totally and worried in the beginning if we could have comfort, however it was well enough. 6 people can sleep in the beds in bedrooms and in the living room there is a double sofa bed and also as we were 8 people we requested extra single bed, so it was even enough for 9 people. Maybe if there would be breakfast service it would be even better, because i really dont like to prepare breakfast in the mornings, however my family always prefer to have breakfast in the home :( Anyway, it was nice and staff was helpfull for touristic tips as well. I can recommend this unit for especially families and groups whom stay crowded.

A fantastic place to stay !

We loved the apartment and Erinc, the owner, was of great help. You are just a few steps from Istiklal Street yet the area is quiet. Istiklal St. is like Barcelona's Las Ramblas on steroids!!! It is also very easy to get to the old city and its sights (walk or tram) but in this area it is much less touristy...you feel like you are experiencing Istanbul like a local. Right on the same street of the apartment close to Istiklal is a fantastic and well known meze (small tapas like dishes) restaurant. There are 2 small grocery stores very close by (including Turkish wine!...cheap and so-so but who cares?) and endless restaurant choices nearby (think side streets for the restaurants). We did a half day walking tour of Istiklal that was great! Our guide knew all the shopowners and she showed up places we would not find on our own. We also did an organized group day tour of the main sites in the old city...they picked us up at the apartment too (actually close by). The apt. is very nice and the AC and WiFi worked great! No microwave but we survived. :-) One final point...we debated staying here or the old city....we saw the old city and it was nice but very very touristy...not sure the restaurants are as authentic or as cheap...so we made the right choice staying here and like I said it's very easy to get to the old town sites. For example to get to the grand bazaar, you walk downhill to the tram stop (5 minutes), take the tram 3-4 stops and you are there! make sure to take the Tunel (underground funicular) on the way back...right at the base of the Galatta Bridge...and you end up at the top and walk out on Istiklal a 5 minute walk from the apartment. As I am writing this I am dreaming of all the Kebabs I ate and loved!
