Great apartment. Convenient, friendly neighborhood

5 of 5
We spent the week of March 9, 2015 here, and I found the apartment a wonderful base to explore this amazing city. The apartment is recently renovated and welcoming; clean and well appointed. There's a cute and efficient kitchen and lovely bathrooms, a big dining area and living room with floor to ceiling windows. You have a wonderful view of the city and, to your left Artists' Park, a lovely green oasis in the midst of such a cosmopolitan area. I didn't really realize how much staying in the apartment would add to my experience of Istanbul. It was a pleasant surprise to me how much I enjoyed the immediate neighborhood. The first morning I went down to the neighborhood bakery, filled with delicious Turkish treats, and was struck by how warm and friendly the people were. The second morning when I went down everyone in the bakery remembered and seemed delighted to see me, and by the third visit they greeted me like an old friend. I also enjoyed Artists' Park, just two blocks from the apartment. Walking there in the late afternoon was a calm and peaceful respite from the intensity and excitement of such an amazing city. I always felt safe there and everyone, from the doorman in the lobby to people on the street, were so polite and helpful. In fact, I became comfortable enough to teach myself the subway system, and realized with delight how easy it is to travel to many of the places that I had only been to by taxis. The subways are clean and efficient and you can get to the nearest station by walking just a few blocks from the apartment. Then you can find your way either into the center of the old city or by funicular down to the area near Dolmabahce palace. By the end of my stay I felt a little bit like someone who actually belonged in the neighborhood instead of a stranger in such a big city.

Absolutely stunning, tranquil, romantic place!!!!

5 of 5
We stayed here for a little more than a week, and I must say, we did not want to leave!! The property is set on its own piece of land so it's very quiet with the feeling that you're the only people in Agva! From the moment I opened the gates and walked down the drive lines with rosebushes I knew I couldn't have picked a better villa for our stay in Turkey! The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is well furnished (dish washer and all!), the lounge is open with a breakfast bar connecting the kitchen to it and the terrace was my favourite place to sit: looking down the garden to the river. The villa has internet for connectivity needs. There is a jetty at the bottom of the garden where you can jump on the little speed boat and in 2mins you're moored on the beach (or for the more athletic, there's a kayak!!). The beach is pristine and as the villa isn't situated right in the centre of Agva the stretch of beach closest is also very quiet. The centre of Agva is a 15min walk and there you can buy everything you need + there are some very nice restaurants and on a Friday they hold a local market where you can buy all the fresh local produce you'll need for the week (I recommend the figs!!!!) I would recommend this villa as a holiday destination to anyone traveling to turkey. The owners are extremely cordial giving us all the advice we needed and were on hand to help when necessary. Thanks Jale and Lee, you made our time one that will last in our memories forever!!

Beautiful Memories of a Vacation

5 of 5
I rented this super nice villa for a little family reunion to see my family after 4 years. We stayed there for almost a week and all we remember is beautiful memories. The villa is very well furnished and equipped with all kind of home appliances you can imagine. We totally felt at home. The neighborhood is fantastic. "Levent" is by far one of the best and safest areas in Istanbul. The villa is in walking distance to so many places such as taxi and metro stations, a number of modern malls, restaurants, bakeries, sweet shops, exchange office, grocery stores, etc. The villa is also relatively close to Bosphorus canal and Emirgan park. Do not miss these places. I should also add that the land lady is the nicest land lady I have ever dealt with. She was extremely helpful, friendly, and generous. She provided free transfer from, and to airport and also guided us to plan visiting numerous attractions in Istanbul. I will rent this place again in my next trip to Istanbul and do recommend it to everyone. A traveller from Southern California, US
