An Amazing Historical Ottoman Five Star Place!!

5 of 5
This house is really gorgeous and is an excellent for couple's looking to experience Istanbul civilization by living it. The house is historical and renovated to stay historical. Its archeticture amazes me. It is super clean, the daily cleaning service is awesome, the furniture is super neat. Even the towels and the Hammam (Turkish bath) are of high quality & great experience which you cannot find in five star hotels. It is unforgettable experience. The host is very helpful and welcomed us with hugs and smiles. Although we were busy exploring the town and could not ask her much, she was supportive and called to see if we needed any tips. It was my first experience in homeaway and definitly a great experience. I highly recommend this place. It is also a nice & easy walk along the river side to the tourists area. My wife and took a nice walk for 25 minutes and we arrived to Sultan Ahmed Mosque, the spice bazar, and so on. Great view, great house, great location, and great service. I will go for it again! Thanks to Nafiye, the owner of this house, for this great experience & extended hospitality.

Our Sultan Suites Stay

5 of 5
My daughter and I had a wonderful 10 night stay at the beautiful Sultan Suites. Nafiye, the owner, was the perfect hostess! After a long flight from the States and what felt like an even longer wait at passport control, she greeted us at the apartment with wine, cheese and fruit. Our main apartment was on the top floor and overlooked the Golden Horn from the living room and balcony. My daughter had her own smaller but equally fabulous apartment on the first floor. Our apartments were outfitted in Ottoman style and were warm, comfortable and very elegant. The woodworking, crystal chandeliers and intricate paintings are lovely. Bedrooms are situated on a quiet back street facing the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate (not to be missed). There was plenty of cupboard space to unpack everything and stow the luggage. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the washer/dryer was a big plus for our long stay. We loved the wonderful Haman baths. What is not mentioned in the apartment description is that there are also rain showers! I also need to mention the beautiful Turkish towels and wonderful soaps that Nafiye supplied. The location was perfect for us. You are within walking distance of the main old city sites, but far enough away so that you can escape the din. There is a wonderful waterfront walk to the well-known historical attractions. You can also walk street-side, but be advised that you will need to walk in the street, at times. Crossing some streets can be an adventure. There are restaurants close by and one of Atatürk’s favorite spots is right around the corner. Be sure to have breakfast on the rooftop. There is also a cozy restaurant on the bottom floor of the apartment building with a good breakfast and gracious owners. Thanks to Nafiye, we were able to enjoy an experience beyond the usual tourist spots and are very grateful for her generosity. You can always stay in a hotel, or tag along with a tour group, but the opportunity to become immersed in local culture and have a unique and authentic experience is not to be missed. We can’t wait to return.

Good view and quality

5 of 5
I liked that it was walking distance from all the major attractions. You really don't have to take a cab or metro or anything. you can walk anywhere from this hotel as it is in the center of the city. The view from the balcony is amazing as you are looking at Bosphorus.
