Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic!

5 of 5
This was our second stay at the beautiful La Jolie. We decided to return to this particular villa having been so impressed with our stay the last time and thankfully our expectations were met. This time we decided to travel with our children, filling the 4 bedrooms (couples and kids) I must say that each of the rooms have ample sizing for the beds to accommodate the adults and room for a pack n play cot and single mattress. The ensuite bathrooms were a feature we wanted most as coming with a larger crowd of us this time it was extra nice to have the bathroom privacy. Ulin (the wonderful housekeeper of La Jolie) greeted us all with smiles and hugs for the children, it was incredibly heartwarming. The house was kept tidy during our stay, linens washed and towels changed. The use of the washer and dryer was great travelling with children so there was no need to pack 10 of everything! The children had the most fun of all, waking up every morning swimming in the pool and Jacuzzi. We made plans everyday to go to a different beach, nothing was too far away so making it back for kids nap time was easy. The house comes with beach chairs, large & small coolers for use by guests. There is also a designated TV room, equipped with cable, TV and DVD player. In the evenings we set up movie nights for the kids while the adults had dinner and drinks by the pool overlooking the view. Though restaurants were nearby we totally made use of the kitchen at La Jolie, we cooked morning, noon and night. We didn't need to bring anything! La Jolie had it all down to the Tupperware! There are also many supermarkets nearby some that were even open on New Years Day. Just down the street is also a fruit and veg vender so fresh bananas for breakfast were available at our doorstep. All in all this was a prefect get away for our families. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again and again. We made such wonderful memories La Jolie is truly our home away from home. Breathtaking view

4 of 5
We arrived in the middle of the night and literally woke up in PARADISE. It's exactly as pictured but somehow seeing it in person just took our breath away. We really enjoyed our stay the villa, spent most of our days driving around the island exploring all the beautiful beaches and towns along the way. We were completely amazed at the facilities at most of the beaches and overall how clean Tobago was compared to other Caribbean islands we've visited. The Villa is basically a 1 room cabin with a large bathroom attached, a large bright shower. It was fully stocked with extra sheets and loads of towels and some basic supplies for cooking, all the appliances were modern and new. My hubby was quite happy to have such a firm bed for two weeks. We met some lovely people in Castara and one of the highlights was the fishing tour that we went on with Errol Roach, highly recommended, we caught dozens of fish and had some dolphins come and swim with the boat, truly the best part for me. We spent most of our evenings dining in Castara and enjoyed wonderful local meals even lucky enough to have caught a few shows with steel drums. We loved Marguarites, Chenno's, Boathouse and Almond tree. We stayed in a few nights to stargaze and cooked fresh fish from the beach from the local fishermen.... The only minor suggestion I have is that it would have been nice to have a BBQ or grill to cook on, we were surprised there wasn't one, but made do. Overall we loved our stay on the island, and felt safe on our own. The cabin is quite isolated although there are other houses on the hill we hardly ever saw anyone in our two weeks there. David was fabulous to deal with and we loved that they had a book full of suggestions and advice on things to see in the cabin, they even provided a cell phone for local calls while in Tobago, very thoughtful. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back one day. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven on earth with us Nancy & Avtar

Unbelievable!

5 of 5
Our family of 5 (3 boys - 16, 13 & 10) stayed at Ohana for Spring Break this year. It truly was an unbelievable experience. This is more than a place to stay. It is more than a home. It truly is an experience in and of itself. In fact, it is so lovely we had a hard time pulling ourselves away from it to go enjoy Tobago. The 2 pools and hot tub kept our boys very entertained as well as the beach down the stairs. The views truly must be seen to be believed. We all kept looking at each other all week and saying, "Can you believe this place?!" The house is designed so well it is like a piece of art. The beach is basically private…it is shared with a neat, small hotel next-door, but I think the most people we saw on the beach at any time was about 10 - 5 of which were us! Our boys played in the waves for hours every day. Great sandy beach and fun waves, but safe. Rena, who manages the house, met us at the airport and took very good care of us all week. The house is designed to be very "open" so it feels like 5 star outdoor living. All the benefits of being outdoors and all the luxury of staying in a fabulous place. We've stayed in some neat places all over the world, but this is definitely at the top of the list.
