Perfect

5 of 5
We rarely travel as a family and when we do it can be stressful. This home was truly a home away from home for us. The house is beautiful and the pool was perfect. We had more than enough room as a family to spread out and have our own spaces when needed. So close to downtown and pigeon point, just a five to ten min walk. We enjoyed not only walking downtown to eat but cooking at the villa was a snap since it had everything we needed, utensil wise. The grocery store was about a five min drive away and was well stocked. We loved feeding the birds on the property as well and enjoyed how friendly they were. Dion and Beverley were also a joy and we loved getting to know them. Dion was extremely helpful, telling us everything we needed to know about the island and helping us find great taxi drivers to get around, being from the states we chose not to chance driving since for us everything was backwards. Beverley kept the place looking great the whole time we were there, we were saddened that we didn't get a chance to have her cook for us. The neighborhood was nice, quiet and secluded; being about 2 blocks from the main road we were surprised not to hear any of the traffic. Everything about this trip was fantastic- Steve was so helpful in setting up the rental and answering any pre-trip questions we had. And once there we had no problems slipping into vacation mode. Our favorite places to eat were the Italian pizza restaurant and skewers. We also took an all day boat trip with sugar lips, goofy name but fantastic guy. He also introduced us to a beach side restaurant where we ate the biggest lobsters we had ever seen. We would defiantly recommend this villa to other friends and family and hope one day to enjoy it again our selves.

Elysian: Our Tobago Home

5 of 5
Elysian, quite simply put, is peaceful elegance. My family and I chose to celebrate my Mom's birthday in Tobago and booked Elysian based on the rave reviews and gorgeous pictures. I can attest that everything that has been said about Elysian is 100% accurate. The villa is beautiful and boasts tasteful, contemporary decor. It was spacious and we had complete privacy. My son refers to Elysian as "his" Tobago home. We all felt that this was our home away from home. Clyde was always available and just a phone call away. My Mom said that this was her most memorable birthday ever. No one wanted to leave Elysian as we had all the luxuries for relaxation right there. We are already discussing our return and will be counting down the days until then. Keep up the great work, Clyde & team! See you soon!

Amazing property = amazing vacation

5 of 5
4 adults and 2 kids - 3 night stay was not enough time. Anea Jayne was extremely helpful through the booking process. She responded to my inquiries in a timely fashion and had eased our minds about booking a rental property in the Caribbean from Toronto, Canada. Once we arrived at Ginger Lillies, it was immediately apparent that the pictures do no justice to this property. What you see on the site is just a tease.. The home is extremely clean and spacious. The home is fenced in with an electronic gate. We felt safe the entire stay. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The heated pool is where we spent the majority of our time. The villa has all the amenities of home with a Caribbean flare. The grocery store is a short stroll from the villa and is well stocked. We were able to get everything we needed. Remember you are in the Caribbean, and Tobago does not have delivery services. There were no issues with mosquitoes on our stay but i would recommend bringing some coils with you if you are in the pool after dark. James and Gloria, the house managers went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, from grocery shopping to picking up take out and taking us to the near by beaches. They are the most honest and friendly people who made our stay comfortable. Our favorite beach is Pigeon Point, which has shops and a bar and restaurant. Perfect for taking little ones. I would and have recommended the villa to family and friends. We are already planning our trip next year! Thanks Anea Jayne, James and Gloria for allowing us to have a short stay in your home. See you again soon. AD and SD from Toronto, Canada.
