Relaxing family atmosphere

5 of 5
This house is billed as a very family atmosphere and lives up to it. We had two families with 6 children ranging from 3 to 9 and the kids had a blast. As in other reviews, the "backyard" kept the kids entertained with the small zip line, swing, single seat swing, croquet and wide exploring space. The kids fell in love with the pool/air hockey table. The parents were happy because the kids could safely wander around the house/yard and keep themselves entertained. Older kids would have so much fun exploring the entire property by themselves. We saw deer several times in the evening. The kitchen has a reverse osmosis water supply for clean drinking water, and a very capable gas stove. Most of the bunk beds appear to be homemade, so be aware that there are no side railings on the top. The mattresses are fairly basic. One thing to note was that there wasn't a lot of cupboad/dresser space to put your things away - so we mainly lived out of our suitcases for the week. The kitchen is open and spacious - great for multiple "chefs" working. The surrounding area is lovely - great for cyclists, the street runs straight up the hill for a beautiful evening sunset drive, and an interesting sculpture ranch to visit. We mostly went for nearby outings - LBJ park (several), perdenales falls state park - the history coupled with beautiful scenery made for a perfect spring break. As in other reviews, Tina is very friendly and helpful! My daughter has already requested to come back soon.
