For the past 5 or 6 years, our anniversary has been spent in the. Texas Hill Country outside of Leakey, Texas, at the in-laws cabin. We had heard about the Wimberley Zip-line Adventure and decided this year we wanted to plan our time away around zip-lining. Not wanting to spend our time in a motel, I searched and found most of the cabins in the area were booked by family reunions. Then I found it, the Dixie Daisy, and knew this is where we needed to stay. I submitted two requests in order to fit our stay between other people's reservations, and am so very happy I did. The trailer and property are well kept. We enjoyed pulling out the futon coach and watching rented movies on the dvd player and a couple shows off the satellite, cooking two meals on the stove and in the oven, and sleeping on the full size bed. We did not use the indoor shower but was glad it was an option. The hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, hammock, deck, and charcoal grill give the property a very private getaway woodsy feel. There is great comfort knowing the owners of the property are just a phone call away if any problems were to arise, which we had none. The property is perfectly located far enough, yet plenty close, to the Village of Wimberley, the quaint shops, and the Wimberley Zip-line Adventure. We enjoyed walking the shops, sharing a burger at the Wimberley Cafe, the excellent cuisine of the Leaning Pear (the iced tea is to die for), lunch along the creek at Ino'z, and pie at the Wimberley Pie Company. We set out to mark off a bucket list item at the Wimberley Zip-line Adventure, which we highly recommend, but but by far the HIGHLIGHT of our anniversary trip were the accommodations and the time we spent at the Dixie Daisy. We are already looking forward to planning another adventure at the Dixie Daisy, the best little Airstream in Texas.
