Yes, it's a little bit of a walk from the car to the beach house but between the two of us, he brought our stuff to the bottom of stairs and I took it up the stairs into the house. The a/c was running when we got there so it was nice and cool inside! There was no musty smell at all as there is in some of the beach motels down there. Kitchen has all items needed for cooking and eating, but bring a cookie sheet to cook your biscuits on or bake the fish you catch while surf-fishing! We fished every day and caught several fish, 3 of them were keepers. We brought our own folding table and filleted the fish downstairs. We washed off the table with the garden hose and sprayed the scales off into the grass. It didn't seem there was any fishy smell because the breeze was blowing from the south and we were up and down the stairs several times a day. We set up a canopy out at the beach near the water and it stayed up for several days. There is a washer & dryer in the bathroom so make sure to bring some laundry soap so you can wash your clothes while there. There is a picnic table on the porch and we also set up 2 lounge chairs and enjoyed the breezes and sounds of the waves crashing as we spent time on the porch. We saw millions of stars every night and even a few shooting stars! If you can handle a little sweat and some manual labor while unloading/reloading your car then you will definitely enjoy this little gem of a beach house!
