This was our seventh year of our annual college reunion, and our second year to stay at Moriah/Farr Side. It's perfect for us. We have around 40 people each year (plus 4-5 small children), and the entire compound works great. There are plenty of beds and places to sleep; the kitchens and grills work great for our large meals. But our favorite parts are the big yards and open areas for hanging out, and the availability of the river so close. The water's been low both years, but it's perfect for sitting in chairs and having a great time. If you are looking for a place for a large group of people that like to relax, sit by the water, and enjoy each others' company, I highly recommend Moriah/Farr Side.

I spent Thanksgiving here with a large group and it was wonderful. The buildings are rustic and quaint with lots of charm but they have all the modern comforts and conveniences of home. The main building is huge. It has a large covered porch in the front and another in the back. The ceilings in the living area are two stories high and have huge windows all around. The kitchen in the main building is just amazing. We had five or six people cooking at the same time without getting in each other’s way. My favorite spot was the large fire pit next to the house where everyone could sit by the fire late into the night and tell stories. I’m pretty sure a few beers were consumed also. I would definitely go back again.
