Awesome Vacation Retreat

5 of 5
We have just arrived home from a wonderful stay at TUCKS POINTE. Everthing was as expected. We would indeed recomend this property to friends and family. The gulf at your feet is an incredible way to live for a week. Fireworks around the bay helped us ring in the new year

Our favorite place to return to on the coast

5 of 5
Our family of five just spent 6 nights at The Lighthouse in late September - early October. This was our third visit to the Lighthouse and we loved it again, as always. The deck is right on the water - basically over the water really. Its like sitting on your own private ocean pier. We were able to see dolphins swimming by while sitting and drinking coffee. We walked to the "near" beach and to the big beach down the road and enjoyed both areas very much. Our 8 year old boy, 5 year old girl, and 3 year old boy loved being able to play in the loft and sleep in the bunk bed room. The pictures of the place are nice, but I'm not sure they do it justice. This is a beautiful home. We always hate to leave, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful vacation!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time with our kids and grandkids!! Plenty of room in this beautiful home for 6 adults and five grandchildren ages ranging from 13 to 21 months and two small dogs!! Loved the porch and views! Saw several dolphins!! We were able to find lots of pretty shells and a whole sand dollar. The owners were very easy to work with and very prompt about answering our emails! Our Granddaughter left a favorite stuffed animal and they found it and mailed it to we just have a couple of recommendations....we wished the area under the house was finished out with concrete. We have stayed at several homes in Galveston and they all had the concrete with enclosed outdoor shower. Even though there was a shower downstairs at this house, it was not very effective since you didn't have a clean surface to step on. We always liked bathing the grandkids in the outdoor showers before heading to the house at the previous houses we have stayed. We made it work here by just using the water hose on the porch. Another suggestion would be to build a bridge over the rocks in front of the house to make it easier to get to the beach right in front of the house. I had a broken ankle and we had to rent a golf cart for my family to get me there. Even with these suggestions I gave a 5 star because we had a wonderful time!!
