Perfect location for work and for fun

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed here for 5 month's while we had a work assignment in Austin. The living space is small, but it is cozy. It is equipped with a large closet space, full sized refrigerator, granite counter tops, remodeled bathroom, flat screen tv, roku, wifi, and a cook top griddle. The location is fantastic. There is a bike share on the corner of Pedernales and 6th street that we used frequently. Downtown is only 2 miles so we would walk on occasion. There are a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The closest grocery store is only 0.6 mi. 4 blocks away is a nice park along the Colorado River. Cayce is a great land lord and a genuine guy. The few problems that we did encounter during our stay he took care of promptly. Austin is a great town. When we do come back for a work assignment, we hope to stay here.

Charming Casita on the edge of Georgetown.

5 of 5
I recently had the opportunity to rent this Casita for a month. While not located in the main part of old Georgetown, it is very conveniently located to I35 which can zip you to Georgetown or Salado in a manner of minutes. Beautifully located in a upscale neighborhood, it has gorgeous views of the adjacent golf course and is secure, private and quite Pictures don't do it justice, as it has nearly new appliances and is very well maintained. The owners went out of their way to help and are a on site if you have any issues. Highly recommended.

Idyllic!

5 of 5
We spent 4 days / 3 nights at the Casita & after just one night back home, we're already trying to figure out when we can make another trip back there! Having been to Austin many times for soccer tournaments when I was younger & of course, 6th Street when I was in college, I'd never really had the chance to be an actual "tourist" in Austin & my boyfriend had never been to Austin before our trip, so this is the perfect location, especially if you're past the days of frequenting the bars for entertainment, haha! Walking distance to plenty of restaurants, Zilker Park, Lady Bird Lake / Barton Springs / Colorado River, Zilker Botanical Gardens, bike & kayak rentals, etc., we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Debbie, Scott & Tony Parker greeted us when we arrived & made sure we had everything we needed while we were there, although we didn't see them almost at all while we were there - even when they had a group of people over for the holiday, it was still very quiet & we felt like we really were in our own little home away from the hustle & bustle of being in Austin. We spent a day at Barton Springs & rented kayaks from Zilker Park (highly recommend, especially for $12/hr & less than a 10 minute walk from the house) & the only time we really drove anywhere was to grab sushi one night & to go zip lining at Lake Travis (another thing I highly recommend doing if you're adventurous - we used Lake Travis Zip Line Adventure). Oh & you're very close to the famous Franklin's BBQ...which unfortunately happened to be closed for expansion of the smokers while we were there, but they are high on our list of places to go when we come back. The Casita itself is exactly how it's described & shown in the pictures, there were no shocks, other than just how beautiful & tucked away it was. We spent mornings having coffee on the deck outside (there is a little grill out there as well although we didn't get a chance to use it), which is nice & private & shaded by lots of tall trees. You have a separate parking space & entry into the home away from Debbie & Scott's entrance down a private alley, so no contending for parking while you're there unless you have more than one vehicle. Overall, if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Debbie, Scott & Tony Parker. We will definitely come back again soon!
