Absolutely Perfect

5 of 5
I usually stay in Austin to be close to the music, however this time decided to travel in and take advantage of the country close by. What a great choice. Firstly communication with the owners Robert and Anna is very clear. On arrival we found a very clean, but welcoming property with a very nice welcome package of wine, meats and cheeses. ( we were asked for other options). I was joined by three other friends and we found the two rooms, day bed and pull out sofa bed were perfect. All facilities worked well and it was nice having the owners close by, but not intrusive. They are perfect hosts. During our stay we had a nice surprise of a coffee cake and even some smoked venison. The location is well placed for driving into Austin via the i35 or 183. We could make it into the city within 30mins. Nice to see the Ranch life - Horses, rams, Cattle. This is a great location and the owners give a perfect example of Texan hospitality. Looking forward to getting out again.

SERENE AND PRIVATE IN THE CITY

5 of 5
We stayed at the Texas Barn house for a month. The three acre property is gated and extremely quiet. The beds were very comfortable, and everything you would need for an extended stay is there. We were in San Antonio to attend the needs of our elderly parents and set up assisted living arrangements for them. The Texas Barn provided an oasis of tranquility while we dealt with a myriad of family issues. The relaxing country feel of the property made you forget you were in the city. Rhonda and Paul were terrific hosts, wonderful conversationalists. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning.

Absolutely the best place to stay!

5 of 5
Our family of 5 (kids aged 9, 6, and 2) stayed here for a week. It was by far the best rental we have stayed at. If you are looking at this house considering booking, do it- you will NOT be disappointed. Like stated in the previous review, the photos just do not do it justice. The house truly has anything you might need for your stay. Inside the house is beautifully decorated, down to every detail. The linens and towels are all very high quality. But the highlight of our trip was not inside the house, it was outside. There is a fabulous swing/bed on the back porch that you could spend your entire stay on, reading, relaxing, watching the sun set, etc. We used the hot tub almost every night. We also loved the animals next door. One fun thing we did as a family during our visit was go to the drive-in, about 10 minutes away. The house and it's surroundings are also a photographer's dream. I got some fantastic shots of the kids/family while we are there (and I'm not even a photographer). All in all, we made memories that will last a lifetime while we were there last week. Delinda was also a fabulous host. I hope to return there again some day, and in the mean time will be recommending this property to everyone that will listen.
