SERENE AND PRIVATE IN THE CITY

5 of 5
We stayed at the Texas Barn house for a month. The three acre property is gated and extremely quiet. The beds were very comfortable, and everything you would need for an extended stay is there. We were in San Antonio to attend the needs of our elderly parents and set up assisted living arrangements for them. The Texas Barn provided an oasis of tranquility while we dealt with a myriad of family issues. The relaxing country feel of the property made you forget you were in the city. Rhonda and Paul were terrific hosts, wonderful conversationalists. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning.

Fabulous Country Home

5 of 5
Remarkable home! We need a place to stay for our daughter's wedding that was being held in N. Austin! This home was perfect!! We brought with us my 91 year old mother (that has dementia and is in a wheelchair), my 94 year old father in law (also has dementia), and my 90 year old father (who by the way is in great shape)! The home was perfect! Mom and I slept on the sleeper sofa in the living room! Of all the sleeper sofas I've ever slept on this one was super comfy and queen size. Bathroom was down the hall and just big enough to get the wheelchair through. My husband and his dad slept in the master bedroom also downstairs and near the master bath. Perfect again!!! And my 90 year old dad and our super helper Faziah climbed the stairs and slept in the two wonderful bedrooms upstairs. My mother loved the kitchen and sat for hours starring out the big windows watching the cows and dogs run thru the pasture! I think it took her back in time and really made her feel safe! My 94 year old father in law didn't want to go home and played scrabble for hours with our help! My dad loved the home because he grew up in Georgetown and it reminded him of all the wonderful people and places he loved so dearly in this town!! And oh yes it was a great place to get ready for the wedding and was a quick ride about 20 minutes to North Austin! PS it's dark at night, coming home down the country road, but The Elders have the trees lite up at night and it's easy to locate under the beautiful moon and stars!!! Loved it and the hospitality!

EXTREMELY CHARMING COUNTRY HOME - YOU'LL LOVE IT!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at Anna's country home and we absolutely loved it!!! For months I had been looking for a quiet, secluded home to stay in when my husband and I go to the San Marcos River time to time. Immediately when I saw her listing, I knew I wanted to stay in her home. Her house is immaculately clean and is just as the pictures show it! We've never slept on a Tempur-Pedic mattress, so we were hoping it would be comfortable. Boy were we surprised - it was probably the most comfortable bed either of us have ever slept in! Anna is so sweet, and she really cares that her guest's needs are taken care of! She thinks of so many little things - a well stocked kitchen, dozen eggs from her chickens, refrigerated bottled water, teabags, DVD & books (for kids & adults), and even has several things for babies stored in her closet (baby bed, high chair,...). I highly recommend her home to anyone whether it be a single person, couple, or family.
