Wonderful cottage with all the extras

5 of 5
This lovely cottage is just as described. The central air is very efficient and there are lots of windows for light. It is roomy and well appointed. We arrived after dark but the lights were on and the kitchen was supplied with a snack basket and coffee for the morning. We stayed a week and the only thing missing was a hair dryer. This place has real charm: someone with an artistic eye has added interesting details. The location is definitely in OLD Galveston and while there isn't much within walking distance there are lots of restaurants within a couple of miles that are a quick drive. We went to Sunflower Cafe several times and loved it. Also Mosquito Cafe, Saltwater Grill and, for the special birthday dinner, Rudy and Paco which was wonderful. Even though it is a tourist town, people in Galveston were friendly and helpful. The immediate neighborhood is one "in transition." This cottage is one of the best houses on the block. There is a small barking dog next door which was sometimes annoying but not it was not enough to keep me from highly recommending this cottage. A great value.

No need to look any further than this Austin gem!

5 of 5
Everything about this location was charming, pretty, beautifully maintained, super clean, secure, and comfortable. The neighborhood was gorgeous -- and the neighbors were wonderful, too! (I accidentally pulled into the driveway two doors down, and the homeowner helped me find the cottage.) The homeowners were very easy to work with. We really, truly could not have been more pleased with the owners, property, or location. We also had to practice some serious discipline not to steal their two adorable doggies! The pups were very, very well behaved so you don't need to worry if dogs aren't on your list of absolute obsessions like they are on ours. The area is FULL of great little places to eat, a great co-op grocery store, and other Austin venues. We chose this one due to its proximity to The Spider House where our friend was getting married. We'd recommend to anyone, and we hope to return!

"Hidden Gem in Fredericksburg, Texas"

5 of 5
"Hidden Gem in Fredericksburg, Texas" I now call this cottage "Little Paris"; a hidden gem in the picturesque and renown town of Fredericksburg, Texas. The cottage evokes a warm, cozy, and homey sensation- it can truly only be defined as the perfect "home away from home". As we entered the premise we found ourselves overwhelmingly captivated by the great meticulous minute details and inspiring decor that made this cottage the perfect place to sojourn throughout our stay in Fredericksburg. Although I had personally never been a fan of rustic furniture, I only found myself inspired and captivated by the meticulous and careful attention to detail in the decor, which was immaculate, out-of a book, and just astounding. The coffee table in the dining room with the shreded paint, the curtain handers shaped as tiny Eiffel towers, and the french fedoras pinned to the bathroom wall instilled a sensation of the countryside in the South of France. The beds were not only well decorated and clean, but the lovely white quilt was a perfect touch. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and there were plenty of puffy towels provided. Kitchen was also fully stocked with glasses, paper towels, and the large refrigerator helped to cool off our bottled water for our day trip to Enchanted Rock. Location: The locations couldn't be any better; it was approximately 5 minutes from the extraordinary local shops of Fredericksburg. HEB(Supermarket), located just about 5 minutes South from the cottage-where we got some freshly squeezed orange juice. Enchanted Rock was only 20 minutes away (excellent place for a good short 1-2 hour hike), and local wineries are located throughout the area anywhere from 12 minutes (Federicksburg winery on Main St.) to an hour away. Absolutely lovely and definitely cannot wait to be back!
