Wonderful, Restful Cabin!

5 of 5
We had a great time staying at your cabin. It was great to have a place to come "home" to at the end of a long day. Y'all were so gracious and sweet. I will recommend you to anyone I know that is headed your way. Thanks so very much!

Football weekend stay

5 of 5
Brand new cabin. Very quaint. Quiet and peaceful. Sleeps 4 but better suited for 2 people. The first night my wife and 2 college aged daughters slept in one cabin. We were able to rent a second cabin for the girls the second night. We enjoyed our 2 night stay as we were in town for a Baylor football game. A little out of the way but a nice change from the usual hotel stay weekend. We would go back.

Great location, great setup, great time!

5 of 5
The property is really pretty....right on the river with tons of pecan trees, native grasses and shrubs. It is next to highway 190 just below the bridge that runs over the Colorado River. This makes for a slightly less-secluded feel, but truly, the place has plenty of privacy. We enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit and sitting out on the covered front deck. The house itself is simple, clean, and comfortable. The windows that line the living room make for a great view down onto the river, overlooking the fire pit. I recommend bringing everything you might need to cook. There are pots and pans, plates and glasses, and utensils...most of what you need, but not a whole bunch. However, bring salt and pepper, spices, or anything else you might need to finish your recipe. The owner, Matt was super accommodating. He was prompt in his replies to any questions, etc. Check in/out was very simple. San Saba is a charming town nearby with a brewery, winery, great coffeehouse, and some other restaurants/shops to peruse. There are several wineries in the area, though we didn't vist them. Colorado Bend State Park is just down the road, and it is beautiful with tons of trails to hike, including one that leads to a waterfall. I highly recommend this private getaway! We'll be returning in the future.
