I originally wanted to stay here for just 3 weeks for a work trip, but Charles had a 1 month min, so I decided to extend my travels for an extra week, (I can do this with my job), and I am so glad I did.
First off, Charles met me upon arrival, which was nice. It eased my mind, and he helped me in with my luggage and gave me a walk through of the property and the apartment. He also reminded me of what was close, since this was my first time in Austin.
The location was perfect for the two job sites I had to be at. One office was in SW Austin, and the other was in Downtown Austin. I was happy to be able to take the bus into Downtown, so that I didn't have to pay parking fees and hassle with traffic. But, what was even better, was the proximity to the trails and Lady Bird Lake. It was also very close to restaurants and other walkable places. I also found the neighbors in the community to be very friendly and also the neighbors in the surrounding neighborhood. I never got tired of looking at cute historical cottages, beautiful Oak trees, and native landscaping. Travis Heights is a gem!
I've had a few bad experiences with these sorts of rentals during my travels, but the bed was comfortable, the WIFI was fast and the apartment was very clean upon arrival. If business takes me back to Austin, and I think it will, this is my first choice!
All my best, Jes.
