GREAT GETAWAY AND BASE FOR EXPLORING AUSTIN!

5 of 5
This was truly a wonderful gem in the West hills of Austin! We brought our 7 year old (note: it was made clear that there is only one bed and we were okay with that). We decided not to take our dog at the last minute, but he was welcome there nonetheless.Every morning we greeted the chickens - and they greeted us! Funny that they ended up being a highlight! The grounds are lovely, the ceramic artwork everywhere is amazing. We saw deer and fawns at dawn and dusk (along the drive). And still had modern and comfortable amenities. I highly recommend the fantastic lap pool too. Claudia was welcoming and helpful. On the last morning she loaded us up on veggies from the garden and freshly laid eggs for a breakfast scramble!

BEST IN AUSTIN

5 of 5
Best way to experience Austin. Perfectly located on a quiet, leafy street, just off the South Congress action. The carriage house is roomy and full of light, with high ceilings, wooden beams, and a genuine tumbleweed. A giant oak tree shades the backyard. So relaxing, we almost didn't want to leave in the mornings. But with Barton Springs, South Congress Street, and the Downtown area so close by, there's a lot to do. The charming owners are incredibly knowledgeable and helped guide us to some great spots. Regrettably, our week came to an end and we had to return to everyday existence. This is the best way to experience Austin. We will be back as soon as possible.

CUTE COTTAGE

4 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was nicely renovated and comfortable, the location was perfect for walking to local restaurants and the downtown area. We did not need a car. While we enjoyed staying in this old, historic district, there were some very run down homes along with very nicely restored homes. It was quite a mixture. Do recommended walking down King William Street, though, where the larger homes are located, most of which have been restored. There is a lot of history here and the River Walk is especially beautiful. The cottage was stocked well with toiletries and kitchen supplies. Definitely recommend.
