I feel so lucky to have stumbled across this gem. I'll try to highlight things I haven't seen in other reviews.
--It's a scenic (mostly) 45 minute walk, or a $6-$7 Uber/Lyft ride to downtown, convention center, etc. We spent 5 days there, didn't rent a car, and managed to cover a lot of Austin territory for less than $100 in fares.
--It's extremely quiet. I felt like I was in the country.
--Lots of early morning birds. And there are a few peacocks in the neighborhood who you'll hear from occasionally.
--The shower is great! It was a wonderful, strong stream with plenty of hot water
--Hope you don't have a rainy weather on your visit, but if you do, you'll love the sound of the rain on the roof.
--Robert Plant is building a house about two blocks away
--Lots of good food trucks just a 5 minute walk from the house. If you walk a bit further the selection gets even better, including restaurants: Sway, Elizabeth Street Cafe, and Polvos
TIP--Plenty of room for two - but before you unpack make sure you establish between yourselves where everything belongs. If either of you is a big slob, go rent a big hotel room and go crazy.
The photos and description are very accurate. And as everyone else says, the owners are great.
