I rented this property for my wife's birthday and a long-overdue family reunion with our large family consisting of adult children, their spouses, and grandchildren.
The location is perfect for a variety of activities ranging from fishing, para-sailing, days at the beach, shopping, nightclubbing, dining, or simply kicking back and relaxing.
The deck area is huge and can easily be confused with that of an upscale "on the water" restaurant patio - but cleaner, more intimate, and full of that special Margaritaville relaxation that's so difficult to find these days. We made great use of the the outdoor kitchen and spent mornings and evenings visiting and enjoying the cool ocean breeze.
There is plenty of room for group activities inside and out as well as secluded intimate areas for small quiet gatherings away from the larger group. An excellent, picturesque view of the Port Aransas channel can be found from the third floor bedroom and game room areas. The kids especially enjoyed watching the large, looming ships pass by on their seafaring journeys to and from the Port of Corpus Christi.
The property is extremely well-maintained, artfully decorated, well-appointed and offers a clean "homey" feel not available in a traditional condo or hotel setting. The kitchen is superb for gourmet or casual cooking and dining. All six bedrooms offer quiet seclusion from the hustle and bustle of the family areas' noise and activities. All three bathrooms are clean, well maintained and mirror the comfort of one's own home.
There is adequate driveway parking for six vehicles. Disabled access might be difficult given all of the steps and stairs - but that's a given in any large multistory oceanfront home.
The owner is hospitable, helpful, readily available for questions or advice, and truly cares about the comfort and convenience of his guests. You can't go wrong with this hidden canal-front paradise located in the center of Texas' "Riviera".
