We stayed in Whipporwill Haus for our annual girl's river trip. The treehouse itself is darling, however we won't be staying here again because the beds were terrible! The three bed were literally like sleeping on concrete. And the pull out couch, which I didn't expect to entirely comfortable, was worse that anticipated. (It literally bent in the middle and had a spring jabbing into my collar bone all night. I opted for the rock hard bed the next night.) In the master bedroom there is an extremely loud creaking noise from the wind moving the trees. It isn't a constant issue, but certainly seems worse at night when you're trying to sleep. That was really the only issue we had. Everything else was almost exactly as described. It was a beautiful little spot in regards to the scenery. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the mornings! If you're floating, you do have to drive a couple of miles to get to the tube rentals. Gruene Hall is about a 20 minute drive. (We had a D.D., so none of this was an issue for us.) The River park is two chairs in the sludge on the river, so don't get too pumped, but there is a grill and seating right above the river access. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, sleeping arrangements aside. Oh! Bring toilet paper! There isn't any.
