        Better Than Advertised

This place is amazing. You will not find a more secluded spot with so many great amenities. Went for a guys trip and we couldn't believe how nice this place was. The skeet area is regulation style with concrete pads at each station, a proper high and low house that worked perfectly. We had a blast using the pistol and rifle ranges. The house is perfect and fit 8 men without a problem. Fireplace inside and out. The smoker outside is the real deal. We smoked some great ribs and chicken. We will be back next year.

        Exactly As Advertised!

Our group of 15 adults (7 Couples +1) had an incredible time on the ranch. As others say, the ranch is simply beautiful. We did an extended weekend in the August heat, and would definitely do it again next year. The cabins all had A/C and the pool was plenty refreshing. Late night games of basketball, dodgeball, and tennis under the lighted court were a major hit. I would definitely recommend taking the kayaks out right before the sun starts to go down. Paddling out to the nearby cliffs and then sitting in the light rapids while drinking as the sun sets was maybe one of the most relaxing things I have ever done... the sightings of beavers, deer, and rabbits along the riverside certainly were a nice little bonus as well. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out, you won't regret it!

        Living Texas History

        5 of 5
Our vacation at Hasse Haus was much more than a "stay." It was a sojourn into Texas history enshrined in a lovingly preserved property set on a still "working" ranch in the storied Hill Country. Here we experienced the "stars at night," exquisite sunsets, sights and sounds of wildlife under the "Comanche" Moon, and the American experience of the Hasse family as they worked, endured, and ultimately triumphed in their quest to establish a good life in a new Nation. We arose each morning to view the sun come up over the ridge, open the wooden shutters, fill the stone walled house with the aromas of coffee and breakfast and hurry out the door to walk the nature trails. We were "adopted" by the generous and loving members of the Art Methodist Church across the road, and these precious neighbors will remain life-long friends. Hasse Haus and the people of Art and Mason are true gems deep in the real heart of the very big heart of Texas.
