we booked this 2 years ago October 11 2012 for my daughters wedding. I thought I wrote a review but I guess I was mistaken! We still talk about the beauty of Paridise Lake House and how wonderful everything was! Very spacious main house and wonderful guest house.. plenty of room for everyone!!!! Grounds were beautiful and made a beautiful site for outdoor wedding. We had a GREAT time!! Alfonzo the groundskeeper couldn't have been more accommodating! LOVED it!! Have recommended it to everyone I know!

Peaceful Getaway in The Hill Country

5 of 5
We have visited this amazing property multiple times for a beautiful and peaceful weekend getaway. The scenery is unforgettable and the cabins have everything you want for a perfect weekend away. Full Kitchen, Pinball, Pool, Movies, Jacuzzi, and all the amazing outdoor experiences that come with being tucked away in the Hill Country. During the day, its easy to drive to local towns and shop and eat. A must see at Lake Buchanan.

Quaint and comfortable

5 of 5
Our family went on it's first big vacation that included grandmother, her 4 daughters and spouses, plus all the grandchildren and one great grand. We definitely maxed out the cabin but found it still very much suited our needs. The couples and small children took bedrooms and the teenagers slept in the loft. I did not personally climb into the loft which is currently only accessible by a ladder but heard that Dave plans to build stairs on which will make it much easier. The boys were thrilled to use it though. The beds were quite comfortable and I was very impressed. The cabin is well built and great thought has been put into it. I took my three month old baby and was grateful for the solid walls that allowed for limited sound carrying. Combined with our sound machine you could hardly hear anything from outside our bedroom. It was also helpful for those who wanted to sleep in a little when the early birds were ready to be up. We found the kitchen well stocked with all the basic equipment you could need and there is comfortable seating for several in the main living space. We really enjoyed all sitting on the porch though and the unseasonably cool air. The lake is not currently full enough to enjoy many water activities close to the lodge but the adventurers all packed up in the car and headed to nearby Inks Lake State Park and spent the day swimming and cliff jumping. The little ones absolutely loved the darling playset and zipline. There was also room for some frisbee and football and the last night there we had a game of volleyball. All in all we had a great weekend and this was a fabulous place for us. With our ride range in budgets from newlyweds and small children to singles and established incomes this property helped us achieve our goal of a fun getaway while pinching pennies. We managed to spend very little on groceries and cook our meals there. When we had questions Dave was very helpful and it is obvious that he takes great care of the place. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone and we would definitely return. Thanks so much, Dave!
