Relaxing, Replenishing, Reviving!

5 of 5
13 of us stayed the weekend at this property in celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary. Location, layout, and amenities were all as stated in the description. The property was quite clean with the exception of some dishes in the kitchen and the grill. We opted to purchase our own mini grill rather than figure out how to get the converted grill cleaned. Of all the steps around the property there was only 1 broken one. It would have been quite helpful to know that the lake water was our primary source of water throughout the house. It was disturbing to wash up with sometimes brown water. Once we figured it out however it was not a problem. I would recommend this property to friends, with a heads up about the water, broken step, and grill. Honestly, the price cannot be beat for services rendered. We had a lovely weekend and would gladly return for another visit!

The Lakeview House

4 of 5
We stayed at the Lakeview House for 6 weeks this past winter. Dave, our landlord, did everything he could to make our visit enjoyable including a tour of the lake area. The neighbors were wonderful and we especially enjoyed the community library. We loved the countryside and the natural beauty of Texas Hill Country.

Phenomenal amenities

5 of 5
We recently stayed at this lake house for a week long spring break and had a great time. 1) Lots of space. There are two separate houses. There are 4 bedrooms with separate bathrooms for each bedroom, each with 3-4 beds in the room. In addition, there is a bedroom and a loft together (7 beds total) with a separate bathroom. We had 4 families: 9 adults and 9 kids and we fit comfortably. You can put a family in each bedroom with the number of beds it has, or you can put 4 couples in a separate bedroom and put all the kids in the bedroom plus loft. 2) Great amenities in the grounds. The best feature of this house is all the amenities. The grounds is large. Its probably more than an acre. The second house is a game room (it also has two of the bedrooms with 2 baths) and it has a large flatscreen (we brought our xbox for evening tournaments), a air hockey table, a pool table, and outside it has a table game table, ping pong table and table soccer game. Between the two houses is a very large covered patio (not pictured as its new for 2015) with lots of seating space and an outdoor gas grill and cooking station. This is in front of a very nice pool and spa. There is another area with an outdoor fireplace and sitting area, another covered patio and outdoor dining table, a large yard (lake water is down) for soccer, baseball or kickball (we did all 3), a sand volleyball court and a very nice basketball hoop in the parking area. The outdoor amenities including the fireplace, heated pool and heated spa, plus the outdoor heaters came in real handy. Because of the cool and wet weather we had during our stay, we didn't leave the property for a 2-3 days and had lots to keep us entertained. With 18, a smaller house would have been a challenge and cozy, but with this place, we were never cramped. This was our first time to Lake Buchanan. We didn't get a chance to enjoy or experience the lake with the weather. One warning, the surrounding homes around this lake house are not much to look at- we were expecting more given the lakefront and hill country, but the place is literally a compound with a gated entry and high fence. We went to Inks lake park and the hike to Devil's Waterhole was beautiful. We even saw a bobcat. They will rent canoes, kayaks and paddleboats. 10 minutes away. We also took a drive to Fredericksburg and Pedernales which are both ~ 1 hour away. Marble falls/LBJ is ~ 30 mins. Highly recommend if you have a large party.
