The house not only had more than enough space for my family (including my parents, my husband, and our two daughters) but also had everything that we needed to be comfortable for our six-day stay in Houston. We were so happy to be able to prepare healthy meals and to do laundry in a home rather than in a hotel. While there for an event at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown, we also visited the NASA Space Center, the Houston Zoo and Hermann Park, the Downtown Aquarium, NRG Stadium and did some shopping. The location was convenient to all of these places, while the price was very affordable. The security system, though a little more work, provided a lot more peace of mind for our safety while we were at the house and for the safety of our things when we were not at the house. I corresponded with the owner via email and over the phone and she was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends or relatives or anyone traveling with families or small groups.

A family with 4 teens and one ten year old, we found this property had a lot to offer in terms of things to keep the kids busy. Two families shared this home while in Houston for a summer wedding. The basketball court was the big draw for us, but the zip line added a ton of fun as well. The zip line is not so high as to truly be scary, but enough of a climb up to be a bit adventurous. The fresh eggs from the chicken coop was a treat and fun to collect. Fire pits are available that would be great in spring/fall. The grounds are pretty, with well kept horses in clear site. The best thing about this property is (as indicated by the name the owners gave it on VRBO) the country atmosphere in the city. Everything you need is around the corner, including a community Walmart, HEB, restaurants and a city park. The neighborhood is pretty and the homes all have large yards with tons of trees. Cypress, TX itself is a respite from Houston bustle. The house is clean and the large kitchen was nice. I would not say the house inside is super modern, but it is adequately updated. The kitchen had most everything you need to cook a major meal, including some spices. The master bedroom and large attached bath could be considered luxurious. The other two bedrooms and study are set up to be flexible on how many it sleeps. Two bedrooms have trundle beds, so not ideal for adults, but we found them comfortable enough. My only complaint was that one of the rooms gets lots of light-nice for daytime, but needs better window coverings for early morning. There were 3 floor mats available for sleeping on that the kids utilized. The second bath that the two trundle-bed bedrooms share was not large, but clean/adequate. Outside, two cars can easily park in the garage- an unusual plus for home rental. The owners are very accommodating, friendly and readily available. Their home is on one end of the property where the basketball court is, but it feels like you have the place to yourself. I can especially recommend this place for families with teens/older kids.
