Just what we were looking for!

5 of 5
This property was just what our family was looking for. We needed to be in the Georgetown area for two months. The thought of staying at a motel or renting an apartment just did not feel right. We felt welcome from even before day one. What a great experience. Our family includes two children and two dogs. Indian Bluffs was the perfect place for us. The wifi enabled us to continue school seamlessly. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy for me to prepare meals. The beds were enormously comfortable (so much that now that I am at home, I am missing them!) That our doggie family was welcome and had plenty of room to exercise was so important. We enjoyed our hikes and runs and the quiet seclusion of being at the end of the road. We felt safe and secure in the location. The Scurlocks were wonderful. They were helpful, informative, generous and attentive. Anytime we needed something (such as more firewood for the chilly days and nights) they were quick and pleasant to help. Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The home was clean and everything in the house worked. The kitchen was well stocked and I had the opportunity to cook in the oven, on the stove, in the microwave and on the bbq grill. We had plenty of hot water for a family of four. It was so helpful that there was a clothes washer and dryer right there. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for the length of time we spent in Georgetown. I would absolutely recommend staying with the Scurlocks to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, homey home away from home. Thank you so much! If we ever have need for this situation again, I will be making reservations happily!!

We LOVE Scurlock Farms!

5 of 5
So peaceful & relaxing. Our family of four (including 11 year old boy and 9 girl) spent four days at Scurlock Farms during the first week in January. The home was so nice and comfortable - and perfect for the four of us but large enough to accommodate several more. Sheron & Dan made sure we had everything we needed including fresh firewood for the chilly nights. The kids enjoyed the dogs & horses - but especially the baby goats. We all loved the river which is a short walk through their pecan grove and we felt like we had the entire river to ourselves as we never saw another soul. We made good use of the built-in smoker on the patio and cozied up by the fireplace after dinner. The home is clean and well stocked with everything you would need including games, books, lots of local history and really comfortable beds! We hope to get back in the spring when all is blooming. Thanks again Sheron & Dan for a memorable stay!

Serene artists studio

This little house was perfect for my husband and I for new years! It was cozy and warm and the scenery outside was beautiful. The weather turned very cold so we could not explore or take hikes like we wanted to, but we still saw the pretty town square. Grape creek vineyards, 600 degrees, and the hollow were all located there and had excellent wine/food. We also really enjoyed monument cafe, one of the recommendations from our host. All in all a wonderful stay, and we would definitely think of coming back again!
