Bachelorette Weekend

5 of 5
We stayed during Halloween weekend for a friends bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect! We tried to make reservations at a hotel nearby and everything was booked..Thank goodness because was stumbled upon The Guesthaus. The house was exactly what we thought it would be by looking at the pictures, but even cuter! We were able to walk from the house to Main Street with no problem (most of us wearing high heels). Since we were there for Halloween she had the house decorated with scarecrows and pumpkins which was such a cute touch. The beds were very comfortable. I was hesitant at first when I drew the short straw and had to sleep in one of the twin beds in the loft but I slept like a baby! The hot tub was warmed up for our arrival and she had towels ready for us by the back door in a little basket. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, sponges, dish liquid etc. She also provided shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, face soap etc. The back yard was huge. Next time we rent this house we are going to bring some yard games because we weren't able to take full advantage of how large the property was! The house was so cozy and welcoming. A few of the girls had issues with the lack of WIFI so keep that in mind if you are constantly on your phones or iPads. We can't wait to come back and do a wine tour weekend again!

Historical and artsy charm

5 of 5
Our host was very accommodating with our needs and requests and made us feel at home. Although she lived on the property, we never felt like we were in someone else's space by any means. The home is super cozy but roomy enough for our group of four girls. The bathroom is huge, so that posed no problem for us, even when we were getting ready for a night out on the small town. It was in great proximity to everything and very easy to get to from downtown without many twists or turns. It's within walking distance of HEB which was helpful when needing snacks and gas. Even on a hot weekend, the house stayed nice and cool with the A/C on and the shade of the tree over the house. The kitchen area (in a closet, no real kitchen) had everything you could need tucked away. We really enjoyed our stay! My only tip for Finn would be to put instructions somewhere easy to find for the coffee maker. We couldn't figure it out and since I don't drink coffee I couldn't offer much help. There may be instructions somewhere, but we didn't put in the effort to look. Regardless of our inability to work the coffee maker, we had a great stay!!! Highly recommended!
