Just the right distance for a weekend away!

4 of 5
We really enjoyed our weekend at the cottage even though it turned rainy and cold. The first day was beautiful for sitting on the dock and reading. The lake was very calm and serene! It turned windy and cold the second day but we still had a great view from all of the windows. We loved watching the squirrel steal food from the bird feeder then scamper away into the woods behind the cottage! The Italian restaurant just down the road was a great choice for dinner. This was just the right distance for a weekend away and we will definitely return!

Very pleasantly surprised

5 of 5
The moment we walked in the door we felt at home. Everything was so clean and well maintained. The owners have thought of everything you could need for your home away from home. The kitchen was completely furnished. We cooked all of our meals there and I can not think of anything that was lacking in the kitchen.  The deck is large with plenty of seating and a gas grill. We sat outside every day and watched the humming birds come to the feeder and blue birds. We could also see the lake from the deck.  The beds are comfortable and plenty of linens. The owner has the cottage decorated and furnished perfectly. You can tell they put their hearts into this place.  We used the boat and dock which is also great and very nicely taken care of. The boating and fishing was great. Our grandchildren loved this place.  The owners are amazing and friendly people. If we needed anything they took care of it right away. We have already booked the cottage for 2015. We hope to make this location a yearly tradition for our family. We have already recommended this place to many people.

Family Getaway

5 of 5
What a beautiful setting for a lovely and exceptionally well kept home. The furnishing were in fantastic shape, just like you had move into a new home. That end of Lake of the Pines is quiet. The house sits on the water at the end of a lake road of other quiet homes. The tall pines sing in the light wind and if you're real quiet on the deck, the deer come up to feed right in the back yard. The home is very clean and open with a spacious kitchen and nice sized den. And, you gotta love the screened in porch or the back deck in the evening or with your morning coffee. The owners are the best. We'll be back real soon to fish off the boat dock.
