Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Gorgeous views.

5 of 5
Our son & his new wife got married at Camp Lucy. Stayed here for the weekend. It'a a ten minute drive away. Clean, comforable - with more than the necessary amenities. Gorgeous views of the Hill Country. Even though the rental is near the owners' home, we had plenty of privacy. We did not use the pool or hot tub. The owner was readily available by email, and very accomodating. I would HIGHLY recommend this rental to anyone attending a wedding at Camp Lucy. Only drawback is one bathroom, but a large, framed mirror in each bedroom could easily mitigate that problem.

Family Fun at Henly Hill Ranch

5 of 5
Just spent a week at Henly Hill Ranch for a memorable family holiday… thirteen of us, ages 6 months (youngest grandchild) to 96 years old (great-grandfather). The second day, everyone asked if we could come back next year! Now that’s how you know everyone’s having a great time. The setting was just right for our group who loves the great outdoors. What did we do? We started out day with coffee and hummingbirds in the rockers on the wrap-around porch. Listen to what you hear…it is zero road noise. Absolutely no noise pollution, which is an amazing blessing in this location. We cooked on the huge, oversized grill almost every night. We ate outside on the patio most evenings…ceiling fans and cool breeze outside and no worries about making a mess with the kids. Otherwise, we gathered around the family farm table, with room for all. With extra fridge and space in the guesthouse, we had oodles of room for cooking/supplies. If we had forgotten something, we were allowed to “borrow” from the owner’s well-stocked pantry and then replaced it. We paddle-boated, kayaked and canoed in the river…all supplied and located right on the dock. The grown-up guys fly fished everyday and the little ones fished from the concrete dock. Everyone caught and released multiple fish each day. Getting in and out of the boats is so easy since concrete steps lead right down into the water. It’s amazing to glide in the clear water where fish are swimming below, and then to look up at the amazing cliffs that tower above. We swam…multiple times a day at the pool…what a great pool. Loved sitting out at night viewing the stars or making s’mores in the oversized fireplace under the pavilion. We hiked/walked/jogged around the property. Don’t miss the view from the top looking back down on the ranch. Plus, when you explore you are treated to an up-close look at the buffalo and longhorns! And of course, the tennis court was the sight of dodge-ball games as well as relay races. All equipment provided! There’s so much room to spread out…and all adult couples were especially happy with this house because no one had to fight for a king bed! Plenty for everyone since there are 4 kings. Not only can you spread out on the property with multiple houses, you can also spread out in the Main House, multiple sitting spaces. Get yourself a Blokus game and gather the adults after kids go to bed. You’ll be up way past your bedtime! Lots of Kodak memories. :-)
