WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

5 of 5
I stayed in this property for a full month. The property is just as seen in the pictures and described, a charming apartment over the garage behind a storybook 1940’s cottage. The hosts have outfitted this space down to minute details. It has high-end furnishings and lots of upscale luxuries, some of which I don’t even own myself like a Keurig coffee machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezers, stove, and more, everything you might need for preparing a meal – cookware, dinnerware, glassware, flatware, cutlery, even salt and pepper – which was really nice when being away for a long time. You get tired of eating out. There are other luxuries you do not get in a hotel room such as a washer and dryer (with laundry supplies provided), free wifi, DirecTV with DVR, and premium movie channels (I especially enjoyed watching all the shows I’d missed on HBO and Showtime). The bathroom is fully stocked with towels, every kind of soap and shampoo you can imagine and even two plush robes. The space is quiet, you have full control of your own AC unit and heater, and there are blackout curtains for days you want to sleep in. At first I was apprehensive about sleeping on a Murphy bed, but it turned out to be even more comfortable than the king-sized, pillow top mattress I have at home. You enter via a gate with an access code and come up a private walkway behind the house to get into the backhouse. Even coming back alone late at night, I never felt any issues with security. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get anywhere from there. There is a nicely furnished deck with two patio tables in the back which are available for guest use where I was able to relax when the weather was nice. You are surrounded by tons of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. I had such a great time exploring the neighborhood, especially all the organic businesses up and down Greenville Avenue. The hosts, Julia and Dylan, were truly wonderful. I loved meeting them. They were super friendly but completely respectful of my privacy, and both of them went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable and all my needs were met. Julia even accepted a delivery of medical supplies for me before I checked in. Both hosts were fully accessible and remained communicative throughout my whole stay. Every question and extra need I had was quickly responded to and addressed. Loved staying here and would again!
