Lovely, peaceful property with everything you need

5 of 5
We loved this place - we even stayed a nite more than we planned! Owner was very attentive. Location is perfect, so peaceful yet 3 minutes from Fort Davis town, not to mention 20 minutes from everywhere else: McDonald Observatory, Madera Canyon Preserve, Alpine, Marfa (we were thrilled to find Jet RInk's Little Reata windmill ruins). Of course, the girls needed to go to the Soda Fountain in town multiple times... The property furnishings had character, yet were very functional, and there was plenty of room to spread out. They thought of everything, down to the coffee and games. We'll be back - WE LOVED IT!

Refreshing!

5 of 5
The house is amazing and comfortable. We absolutely loved the views and little surprises in every room made the stay unique. The downstairs "lair" was a perfect place to just chill out and watch a movie and then the kids made that their domain. I personally loved the "periodic table" the most and my mom found several books about the area that helped us find things to go and see. The house is thoughtfully stocked to create the illusion that you are merely visiting an old friend and not the normal feeling you get from a hotel. It was easy to come "home" and relax after driving all over the area. I really recommend this house as it's an experience we will never forget!

Wow!

What a gem of a house! The views were amazing, furnishings were great. My wife and our friends had everything we could ever need. We especially enjoyed the Rumford fireplace. This is a must stay in Marfa!
