We had a blast! There were 11 of us ranging in age from 21 to 97. There was something for everyone to do. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. There were so many extra fun things, like the fishing pond (of which we caught many) and the outdoor movie screen. And, yes, the pool was awesome. Hershel and Becky answered all of our questions and provided everything we could possibly need. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house, Hershel and Becky. We will be returning next year!

The house is perfectly nestled on Lake Austin and conveniently located near Quinlan Park boat launch to bring your boat. The house fits six very comfortably and was the perfect retreat for our annual girls trip this year in Austin. We took advantage of the amenities including fishing from the boat dock (caught some nice bass) to hot tubbing with a glass of wine after long days of boating on the lake. We were able to easily launch our boat and tie up to the dock for our use during our stay. Everyone in our group raved about the weekend and our accommodations. I was pleased, particularly since I live in Austin and was responsible for planning the weekend for myself and my guests who traveled to Austin and ranged in age. Despite being a local and having spent many days on Lake Austin, staying at the lake house was as if we were at a private retreat someplace else. I will definitely stay here again and strongly recommend it to others.

This house makes you want to revisit Austin over and over! Its in a great part of town and overlooks the river. The host is very nice and helpful and has obviously being putting in a lot of care to bring it from an old home to a more modern one. Getting to see the bats of Congress bridge and the rest of downtown was very easy and walking along South Congress was a pleasure. Even just sitting at the little table in the front yard and enjoying the view of downtown was great. I will definitely be back and look forward to seeing the progress on the yard.
