Tower House - Getaway for the Group

5 of 5
We call this home the Tower House. It's a three story vertical structure tucked up along a steep hill in the back of Westlake, affording 270 degree unobstructed towering views of the hill country. Entering on the bottom floor, there is ample sleeping space, one private bunk bed with the others sharing one space. Think crash pad. Moving up the stairs to the second floor is an open living room, dining room, and kitchen with space to eat, drink, play, and generally socialize. The area is larger than the photos make it seem. The first of two decks is just off of the kitchen. It's a large, sturdy, square deck with a propane grill and the same views described above. The weather was nice, so we enjoyed the deck late into the night without disturbing neighbors. As a side note, at one point in the weekend we ran out of propane and Karen was able to refill it in time for dinner. Great service! The third and top floor housed the private master suite and yet another deck. More expansive windows and unobstructed views of the hill country. Really enjoyed waking up here. All in all, my guests and I had a fantastic weekend. We rented a boat at Blue Sky boat club, just a couple miles away and spend the afternoon boating on Lake Austin. I'd recommend this property to any friends looking to get everybody under one roof for a memorable weekend.

Hidden, Relaxing and Lovely

5 of 5
The property is nestled in the beautiful hills area of Austin that is a must see. The guesthouse shares the lot with Claudias mainhouse and charming pottery studio but yet, it retains its privacy well. The room is cozy and efficient with a modern upgrade. Perfect for a couple that enjoys nature integrated with comfortable living. Claudia is a gracious host and we felt very comfortable with her around, although we hardly ran into her during our 2 night visit. She let us use her charming custom swimming pool that resembles a fountain/pool you may see outside a fancy building but it's surrounded instead by a cozy shaded area complete with hammock and lounge chairs. Be sure to check out her pottery studio if you can catch her there so you may appreciate all the beautiful ceramics she's placed all over the property including the cottage. Excellent stay and we will definitely return if we are visiting Austin again. Thanks Claudia!! :) -Phoebe and Amir

Perfect place to stay!

5 of 5
My husband and I arrived in Austin for a three day stay only to find that our previously arranged accommodations had fallen through. When I contacted the owners of this rental, I got an immediate response. Marissa was very welcoming and made check in very easy. We were tired from a long drive and arriving at this super clean and comfortable location was just what we needed. This rental worked out beautifully for us, everything we needed was there. The views are lovely and it's a quick drive to Austin. I would absolutely stay there again and definitely recommend this rental! Thanks Marissa, for making our stay so lovely!
