Better than it looks

5 of 5
I think the pictures of this place do not do it justice. The view is amazing and I’ve never enjoyed a cup of coffee in the morning like this. Everything was very clean and well kept. The owner had snacks waiting for us (amazing homemade humus) and was very attentive to our needs. Plenty of space, we had 5 guys there. The location is perfect, far enough away to feel the ‘get away’ experience but 10-15 minute drive downtown if you wanted to get out. Also great location if you are planning to spend time on the lake. Awesome place and great owner would highly suggest and rent again.

Could not recommend more highly

If you're even considering it, rent this house! The architecture, views, trail access, and wonderful outdoor areas, it's all fantastic. It's actually even more beautiful in person than it's depicted in the photos posted. And what we enjoyed the most was how uniquely designed it is. We stayed for two nights over Thanksgiving (my wife & I, our 4 kids, and Lucy allowed us to bring our dog) as a mini-vacation. The location in Austin was great, but the couple times we left to visit a park and find a meal we found ourselves rushing to get back. The house managed to be fun & entertaining for the kids (aged 4-12) while at the same time relaxing and serene for us. And while we didn't have the opportunity, it would be an outstanding house for entertaining. Lucy was a gracious host, and we couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

Hidden, Relaxing and Lovely

5 of 5
The property is nestled in the beautiful hills area of Austin that is a must see. The guesthouse shares the lot with Claudias mainhouse and charming pottery studio but yet, it retains its privacy well. The room is cozy and efficient with a modern upgrade. Perfect for a couple that enjoys nature integrated with comfortable living. Claudia is a gracious host and we felt very comfortable with her around, although we hardly ran into her during our 2 night visit. She let us use her charming custom swimming pool that resembles a fountain/pool you may see outside a fancy building but it's surrounded instead by a cozy shaded area complete with hammock and lounge chairs. Be sure to check out her pottery studio if you can catch her there so you may appreciate all the beautiful ceramics she's placed all over the property including the cottage. Excellent stay and we will definitely return if we are visiting Austin again. Thanks Claudia!! :) -Phoebe and Amir
