Better than we could have expected!!

                    5 of 5
I booked this place for my boyfriend's 30th birthday to have a relaxing weekend celebration, and our stay was absolutely perfect. From the twinkly lights everywhere, to the treehouse, to the archery on the side of the house, to the awesome porch that we practically lived on, the place surpassed our expectations. I could go on and on about The Little Yellow Cabin in the Woods, but you might as well just book a stay and find out for yourself. We're already planning on making this our go-to getaway spot, and can't wait to make use of the fire pit in the winter!

So peaceful, and comfortable. A fantastic host!

                    5 of 5
Tamara was able to work us in at the last minute. She is the most gracious and conscientious host. The cabin is tucked away south of the city, well worth the short drive. You would never know you are only minutes from a city of almost one million people. Tamara has done an amazing job of decorating. The cast iron tub is luxurious. At night you are welcome to start a fire in the pit. It is quiet and again I use the word peaceful. It truly is a place to breathe. There is a good variety of restaurants to suit almost any taste only minutes away. Book at stay with Tamara. You will not be disappointed!

Great cabin for a weekend getaway

                    5 of 5
My girlfriend and I had a great time staying here over the Memorial Day weekend. The cabin is very well maintained and quite cozy and was almost exactly like it was described in the listing. We also enjoyed seeing the quite friendly chickens (and a duck?) hanging out maybe 30 feet from our cabin. The grounds also have a swing and a smoker grill (which we didn't end up using because I was feeling lazy the first night and it rained the second night). The cabin is about 20 minutes from Austin, situated in a fairly scenic suburb, which allowed us to enjoy Austin during the day and relax away from everything at night. It wasn't quite as "woodsy" as we had hoped, but it was still set far enough away from the road, which itself was quite far enough away from any even remotely busy roads. Guaranteed peace and quiet. Jeff was also very responsive to my e-mails and texts both before and during our visit. I would highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay here again if we decide to do another weekend getaway near Austin.
