Country Cottage, Full of Charm

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights with our two dogs and enjoyed every minute. We had planned to see more of Austin, but we found it hard to leave once we arrived. The atmosphere is hill country charm and cozy. The cottage is nestled in a grove of oaks, near the top of hill along the side of the large property. It has a private gated walkway leading past the chicken coop to the inner garden. From there you’ll step onto the roomy, covered porch. Inside you’ll find a well equipped kitchen with a fridge and stove. Fresh eggs were waiting for us and coffee with a French press. We like to cook so we dined in every night. There are Pots, pans, plates, tools, knives etc. The Local HEB is only 10 minutes away. Take a look through the cabinets and you’ll find the essential condiments as well. There is a flat screen TV, wireless internet; a queen size bed, a sofa, small work and dining table; also, there is a nice patio table on the deck. The bathroom is fully tiled and roomy with a large walk in shower. Nice fixtures for the vanity sink. The outside shed has a washer dryer. We really didn’t need anything. We sipped our wine in the quiet evenings and enjoyed the solitude. We took the dogs walking through the Commons Ford Park 5 minutes away. It is a wildlife preserve park along the riverside with winding trails for biking or jogging. There were plenty of deer and birds. Our host Claudia was gracious and there to greet us and show us the amenities. Before we departed we toured her pottery studio. You’ll find examples of her colorful art in the bathroom tiles, the kitchen dishes, and in statues on the property. It is a small but well planned space. If you want to get away from it all and still be 20 minutes from downtown. This is the place!

Best of both worlds - Amenities within nature

5 of 5
The rustic cottage more than met our expectations. There was plenty of room both indoors and outside. It was easy to access the beach club amenities while at the same time there were beautiful hiking trails and a fire pit for enjoying s'mores and the stars. We look forward to sharing this hidden gem with family and friends.

Perfect Family Vacation and Wedding

5 of 5
We decided to rent in The Hollows because our daughter was getting married at Villa Antonia and this resort area was located so close to the venue. Our party consisted of my husband and I, my daughter and her husband and their seven month old baby and golden retriever and my other daughter the bride to be. It was just perfect. Each of our groups had their own bedroom with their own bathroom. This home is completely stocked with more than enough linens, all kitchen needs for eating and entertaining at home and very comfortable furniture and beds. Nothing is missing. We enjoyed the deck off the back of the house each evening or in the morning for breakfast. The resort area where the pool is was perfect for all of us and we spent the hot days there. While the pool restaurant was not open all week it was open for the long weekend and served up great drinks and great food. There is a small supermarket located within a couple of miles and if you choose you can go into Cedar Park for even more choices. Just a fifteen minute drive away. As I mentioned we brought our dog and there is an enclosed gated area for her so we did not have to worry about letting her out. Austin is about a half hour drive away and we took advantage of some of the night life and sightseeing but it was definitely nice to come home to this relaxing place. We would definitely recommend this home at the Hollows and are hoping a return visit is in the future for all of us.
