HEAVEN SENT!

5 of 5
This property is an absolute sanctuary! Each night our family dined on the patio, relishing in postcard-worthy sunsets filling the backdrop. The extraordinary views, accommodating amenities, lakefront access, and privacy this rental has to offer is unbeatable. Third time's a charm. Lake Austin has become a mainstay destination for our family's annual vacation. Sadly, our first rental "on Lake Austin" was a bust. Much to our dismay, the rental did not have lake access, despite the add leading us to believe otherwise. We ended up having to convoy our family to a public park on the lake so the kids could play and swim -not what we had in mind. We did better research 2nd time around, renting a property on the waterfront. While the house was nice, the small lot, lack of privacy, and limited views left something to be desired. Within minutes of arriving at this property we knew it was a home run. With 5.5 acres and no visible neighbors, there's an abundance of privacy. Swimming off the dock, paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing provided endless entertainment for the whole family. The stellar panoramic views from the bluff complete this amazing rental. The search is over for us. We will definitely be returning next summer! Thanks again Pat and Peter!!!

PERFECT PLACE FOR A FAMILY WEDDING WEEKEND

5 of 5
My whole family (12 people came and went) stayed here for four nights for my brother in law's wedding. They got married at Pecan Springs Ranch just ten minutes away which is what led me to this rental. This was the first vacation rental for everyone in my family but myself and my husband, and they were very impressed. They all want to do vacation rentals again. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and plenty of beds. The second house was nice because it allowed us to let my baby niece take naps without making everyone be quiet. We had a cookout for lunch one day and loved having space to cook and play games and hang out. We didn't make it to the pizza place or the brewery next door because we had so many wedding activities, but we enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the music the nights we were there. Here are a few pros and cons of our stay: Pros: Plenty of beds large kitchen table plenty of seating in living room perfect location for our wedding venue Emily was very easy to contact and very helpful Great outdoors space Outdoor shower great play area for kids loved the decor Cons: we ran out of towels and would have liked access to laundry I think the only con is just because we had so many people come and go. We would all stay here again if we are ever back in Austin. It was very easy to get to and we felt very safe and all really enjoyed our time! Thanks Emily for being such a great host!

LOVELY PLACE FOR A WEEKEND OF FUN IN AUSTIN

5 of 5
We came down for a quick Girl's weekend in Austin. While I love a great hotel- sometimes you need more room to spread out and to make your own. I found this home to be well suited for our needs. There were plenty of bedrooms so we could all retire or get up at our choosing. Two bathrooms made it nice also. The living room had lots of seating for friends to come by and share a glass of wine. The natural lighting in the there highlighted all the bright colors and eclectic artwork. We loved having the grill for the friends we hosted for dinner on Sunday night. Rooms were quaint- but had all of our basic needs covered. Best of all-- it was walking distance to the south congress area which was a major plus for us. Shopping was first on our agenda, and then it was a quick walk to the neighborhood restaurants and food trucks. We also took a cab to the Sixth Street area for dinner on 2nd street--- that was about a 10 dollar cab ride one way. (which was fine- no drinking and driving for us.) The owners were very welcoming and flexible on our arrival time, which was really great. We had most of the kitchen items needed to make breakfast everyday we stayed and to make our dinner on Sunday. There is also a large backyard for relaxing but it was great for the two dogs we brought with us. (bonus points for being furry friend friendly!) We did not need them but there is a washer and dryer in the house. So if you are there for a few days that would be nice so you could do some laundry while there if needed. Overall this was a great place for the three of us- but it could sleep a few more if you had more in your group. The combination of the location along with the hospitality of the owners would make it a choice for us again when headed to Austin for more than just a one night's stay. Thank you to the hosts for sharing your home!
