Peaceful, romantic, quiet, and just right!

Fantastic stay. Lovely place. The hostess is extremely nice - will help you with restaurant suggestions, directions to get places, or anything else you need. The hot tub next to the fireplace was very nice, and the welcome basket made the say extra special. It was a great get away in a scenic, lovely cabin.

Nice but...

I am going to give the kind of review that I would think would be helpful if you considering booking. Pros: 1. The owners are super attentive, which is great if you have questions 2. Property is very nice a. Beds are super comfortable & Rooms are big b. Has a hammock that was surprisingly wonderful c. Right on the water d. Kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you need e. Very well kept and clean f. Loved the large stand up shower g. Fire pit in the back is fun for that outdoor feel h. Very close to the state park where we were able to fish a little I. Has washer / dryer so you don't need to pack a ton J. The 8 year old had a blast, and with no TV that's saying a lot. Cons: a. A tad bit pricey, but I understand they want a clientele that will not destroy their property b. The property is on very high pillars, so there's quite a stair climb (not ideal for older folks) c. The property is on somewhat of a hill, so walking down to the water and back up to the property is once again a bit of a task for older folks d. There was really no fishing in the river and that's what we hoped to do most of the time. e. The neighbors are closer then we would have hoped. Not that it was a big deal, because it wasn't...we just thought that we would have been more secluded Overall, we really enjoyed it. If we would have known that there would have been no fish, we would have prepared differently...maybe finding places close by to visit. The owners are really helpful and it's a place we would recommend to youngers families. We wouldn't take my father (78) there again just because of all the levels and we would probably recommend going in warmer weather. Thanks Linda & Steve! Happy Holidays, Linda

magical

Tamara was a charming and friendly host, she provided just what we needed and left us to enjoy. The patio lights and oil lamps around the little pond with the fireplace going (all graciously done by Tamara) made a delightful place to sit with our wine and snacks. From the elephant night light to the Asian inspired ceramics Tamara's artistic eye was apparent everywhere with no sense of useless clutter. I would love to see this delightful place in the spring and hope to visit with Tamara again.
