Our Girl Scout group (3 moms and 4 teens) arrived in the dark at Nature's Dream and were impressed by the well-appointed interior and the views from the windows in the loft, the upstairs bedroom, & in the living and dining rooms. The view was gorgeous, overlooking the lovely valley and other homes in Wears Valley or the treetops & sky. Our Girl Scouts stayed up too late the first night, saying they had never seen so many stars as they had the perfect windows to view them. The three bedrooms (2 king & 2 queen beds) & baths were plenty for our crew of 7. With the three public rooms (the loft on the 2nd floor, living room on the first floor, and game room downstairs), we had lots of room to spread out if needed. However, it was nice that the girls and moms could all hang out together with all the great games and books at the home since it was only 24 degrees outside.
We all had wi-fi devices and had no problem connecting. The service was just as fast as it is at home. There was also a book Cheri had with any and all the info you need about the area, tons of information. She really helped make our stay perfect!
When we awoke the first day, the views of the valley were lovely so we spent quite a while watching and taking it all in. Our kitchen was well stocked, with casserole dishes, a crockpot, teas, hot chocolate, sugar, oil, oatmeal and more, if we wanted. We grilled out and then played games (they had plenty for every age), took a walk around the area, and drove about 8 miles to see the Christmas Lights in Pigeon Forge. We couldn't figure out how to get the hot tub to the right temperature at first, but Cheri's go-to person answered his phone when we called Saturday afternoon and helped us troubleshoot how to get it just right. The girls loved the hot tub for about 15 minutes, but then came in shortly to play even more games.
We had a great time playing games around the coffee table next to the gas fireplace. It was so cozy for our Girls weekend! We enjoyed teas, hot chocolate, and s'mores and talked about how much our families would enjoy coming back to this cabin for a stay.
To be honest, this is the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything. It is a great location, midway between Townsend and Pigeon Forge, just 4.5 miles (10 minutes) to Metcalf Bottoms (the shortcut to Gatlingurg)!!! We enjoyed the easy Greenbrier Schoolhouse trail on our way home. Thank you so much, Cheri and Terry!
