My family and I stayed at the cabin for a week. The place was nice and it has a great view of Gatlinburg. We watched the fireworks from our deck and had an amazing view of them. The hot tub was a good size and we enjoyed it every day. The mountain roads are steep and I wasn't quite expecting that, but it wasn't too bad I guess. The home was adequately clean and provided plenty of towels for both the bathrooms and the hot tub area. We had an issue with one of the bedroom's outlets not working but we just ran an extension cord. The roof had recently been redone and it was leaking slightly, but that is no slight on the owner as she cannot foresee someone not doing their best work when she paid them for a job. The parking was adequate for four vehicles which is more that I can say for several of the other cabins in the area. The pool table kept the kids and adults entertained for hours.
We had no major complaints for the most part, and I am shocked by the 1 star treatment in the reviews. For the money, once split up by family, it provided relatively inexpensive lodging. The galley-style kitchen left a lot to be desired by its weird layout, but the coffee station is an added bonus.
My sister arrived at before check-in as they arrived in town early, and the cleaning "crew" was finishing up. The owner indicated that there would be some items that we may be able to use, like tissue, detergent, condiments and the like, but that was not the case for us. My sister watched as the cleaning "crew" loaded up her car with the extras left by the previous tenets. That was fine, but she left a "tip envelope" on the table. We knew that if we left anything, she would use it in her own home, so we didn't leave much one way or the other.
We had a large number of people and were comfortable in the home and would recommend the home. We had different ages as well from 1 to 56. We had teenagers and folks in their 20s and 30s. We had toddlers and young children and Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge provide excellent things to do for every age group! We rode the Alpine Coaster, rode go-karts, went to the Arts District, played mini-golf, rode a 5-D ride and ate fantastic food.
