Fantastic Experience

5 of 5
Brian's home was exactly what we were looking for: convenient to metro Nashville, and yet in a bucolic setting on the heavily wooded west bank of the Cumberland River in the old Inglewood area on the eastern edge of the city. The home was comfortably furnished, with EXCELLENT A/C and a very cozy den, with a nice wooden deck and grill. Very leafy neighborhood on what felt to be an acre lot. The basement provides a full washer dryer room, bedroom and separate bathroom. VERY comfortable king bed down there, plus two bedrooms upstairs. IF you are a light sleeper, choose that bedroom! Brian was available to greet us and answer all questions. I'm not good with modern TV devices, and he did turn on the system and show how to operate, but for those of limited ability, such as me, it might be helpful to have a printed guide to operate the TV. For young people, this is probably not an issue, and besides, I wasn't in Nashville to watch TV. Brian also had plenty of board games and a great library of books lining the shelves in the den. VERY relaxing. Everything was clean and well appointed. My only suggestion would be to add a hanger hook on the downstairs bathroom door, and maybe one right outside the shower, as well as some wash cloths...he had tons of wash towels and hand towels. And a change of linen was available for longer stays. Kitchen appliances and cutlery, pots and pans were abundant, as well as toaster and coffee maker. A nice dining/breakfast room for those who want sit-down dining, and a cozy nook off the kitchen as well. The neighborhood is quiet, and only a two lane road connects you to the main highway over a mile away. At the same time, we found a super restaurant reachable without driving through a single light in the Riverwood mini-development a couple of miles down Brush Hill Road and then back toward the highway/Gallatin Pike. Sausage & Seafood is the name, great place. Fantastic meal in a comfortable, relaxed spot. One thing that Brian has no control over is that I 65/24 is undergoing expansion, so if you are planning a drive into downtown or East Nashville via Briley Parkway to 65/24, you may want to opt for Gallatin Pike or an alternate route during weekdays...there are some delays heading south on 65/24 until the expansion. is finished. I would recommend Brian's home to anyone. It truly was great meeting Brian, and he has furnished the house with a definite Nashville theme that is just right. We plan to return~

Girls Weekend - 40th Birthday Celebration

The house was absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured in the ad on Home Away. The space was great for group of 9 of us to all fit comfortably to hang out around the living room/kitchen area. The pool table and movie room upstairs was an added bonus! An Uber to downtown was about a 10 minute ride and quite inexpensive, which was perfect. There were also many different restaurants/coffee shops right in the neighborhood if you don't feel like traveling downtown. We had an absolute blast and would definitely recommend this rental to anyone visiting Nashville!

You won't find better scenery!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was not as clean as it should have been seeing that I paid a $70 cleaning charge to have the cabin cleaned after I left. The stairway carpets were dirty and needs cleaned The rocking chairs were old and needed refinishing. The bathroom mat/rug needs to be thrown away- nasty! The couch and love seat were in bad shape. You sink down low when you sit on them and have a hard time getting up. The pots and pans are old and pitted. Water poured in the electrical outlet during a rain storm in the kitchen.
