Our group of 7 women, average age of 55, from across the country, gathered here for a birthday celebratory trip. We stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The house was spotless and the layout worked perfectly for us as we spent a lot of time in the living room downstairs, as well as the sitting area upstairs, just chatting and hanging out. Every room was spacious and all beds were comfy with tempurpedic mattresses. We stayed in for some of our meals, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The eclectic décor made it all the more fun. We even used the hot tub which was wonderful, and the views from the back deck were gorgeous. The linens were all good and plenty of towels. John made the entire rental process so simple, and I cannot say enough positive things about the whole experience. In regard to our activities, I think renting a car was ideal for us, as it seemed cheaper/easier than Uber because we did do a lot of sightseeing. Driving around was a piece of cake, and the house was really convenient to grocery, liquor, a few restaurants and the Opry Land Hotel/resort. We toured The Ryman, Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, and the “Cooter’s” museum dedicated to The Dukes of Hazzard TV show (really funny). Our favorite meal spots were Adele’s (Jonathan Waxman’s restaurant) and Jack’s Bar B Q. We stopped in at Ann Patchett’s bookstore (Parnassus) and even got her photo; we also enjoyed the store called Two Old Hippies (very cute) in The Gulch area. The main nightlife strip on Broadway was a real music experience, and we had a blast at “Honky Tonk Central” and “B. B. King’s”. The trip was a fantastic long weekend get-away, and I would highly recommend the house to anyone.
