Very nice place

5 of 5
The cabin was very clean and well maintained. All of us enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch and the kids enjoyed the Foosball table in the loft. The kitchen was well stocked with pots pans and utensils so we could eat in. Used the grill as well. Very nice stay and a nice view as well. Thank you for the "things to do book" , it was very useful. Location was close to Dollywood and Dixie Stampede which we visited. We looked at a lot of cabins on line before choosing The Rusty Nail. I do not think we could have made a better choice. Also booking on line was easy. Thanks for a wonderful stay

Home away from home

5 of 5
Your cabin was more than we expected. It was clean ,spacious and homey. I loved the screened porch in the back. Perfect for meals but my favorite spot was the front porch swing. We were centrally located and did dollywood mini golf and the stampede but were close enough to go to the smokeys and did a Cade's cove day. There was something for everyone. My only negatives were that your stools and chairs were loose and needed some gluing and your recliner falls apart if you sit down in it. Easy fixes. It would have been nice to have directions to churches, grocery stores etc. I did want to put in kudos to Mel's diner. Not only did we have a good meal but when my granddaughter forgot her retainers she wrapped in a napkin they went through the garbage and found them. Just another reason to return. While we were there we only ate local ,no chains, and I must say the food and hospitality was amazing. The chocolate pie in Dolly's home town was homemade and the best I've had. That was at the Diner if you haven't eaten there I highly recommend it. Thank you for sharing your home with us we are already planning a return trip with the rest of the family

Another Great Family Vacation in the Books!

5 of 5
Let me start off by saying we are frequent guests of this cabin, so our review is a little biased...but for good reasons. We have stayed at many cabins in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and we have not been able to find a better cabin, better location or better owners to work with. Hence, we stay at this cabin almost excluslively (except for when it is already rented out for when we want to stay here). Instead of a long, detailed explanation of what we liked about the cabin, here is a list of pros and cons: PROS: 1. Great location, beautiful views of the mountains, both during sunrise and sunset. During the summer, you can watch Dollywood's fireworks from the back deck without worrying about all the traffic! 2. Easy access to cabin and surrounding attractions. Paved drive all the way to the cabin's front door. 3. Good size lawn for walking the furry babies, if you have any. 4. Free Wi-Fi in the cabin and also at the resort's pool. 5. Clean cabin with lots of amenities (you can read the description for a detailed list). 6. Always well kept and stocked with plenty of supplies and cooking utensils. We try to cook as many meals at the cabin to save some $$$ during our stay. Nice charcoal outside too. 7. Comfortable beds! You won't find more comfortable beds than Bev's. 8. Great owners. If you have an issue, which are few and far between, Bev takes care of them immediately without question. 9. Reasonable priced. When you compare this cabin to others and especially to those rented by rental companies or other agencies, you won't find more reasonable prices. Just compare to other cabins with the same amenities and to see for yourself. 10. Convenient. You are literally minutes from Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Once you figure out the "back roads", you can avoid most of the traffice in P.F. and Gatlinburg. CONS: 1. Thinking....still thinking......hmmmmmmm...NOPE, can't think of one! Trust me, you will love this cabin and the owners. However, please be respectful of the owners and surrounding cabin neighbors and don't rent it just to have a party place for the week/weekend. This cabin, owners and resort are much too nice for that. Good luck and happy renting!!
