My husband and I wanted to find some place where our son, daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons could all get together to have some family time. This seemed to be such a better option than a hotel, plus, Ed and Ginny have one of the few places that welcome dogs, have a fenced area for dogs to run in and even offer to let your dogs out for a "potty" break if you are gone for a few hours. Ed and Ginny were so welcoming and this made the perfect get-away. It is far enough away from the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg that we spent most of our time together as a family, playing board games, cooking, talking - how different is that!! And we never heard "There's nothing to do" from our grandsons. They ran around in a safe environment, we could just sit on the rap-a-round porch and watch, or read, or talk. Even though the cabin is not designated as for people with disabilities, I have severe arthritis and am unable to climb stairs, or negotiate very uneven ground, I was able to have a wonderful time. There is some gravel to walk though (not much) and one step up to get in, but other than that the cabin interior and porch are all one level. Thanks for a great time, Ginny and Ed, we really had a great time.
