My family and I visited Memphis, TN over the Thanksgiving holiday. We arrived Wednesday afternoon and departed on Saturday morning. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed visiting in a more relaxed, "homey" environment as opposed to a hotel room. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants and activities during our stay. My grandson enjoyed seeing the ducks at the Peabody Hotel, my daughter and son in law visited the National Civil Rights Museum, we rode through the light display at Shelby Farms, and the family enjoyed dining at Pearl's Oyster House (excellent food and service), Huey's (again, excellent burgers and service), the Green Beetle (great beer selection) and The Commissary (EXCELLENT BBQ located in Germantown, TN--not a far drive at all--well worth it)... We also ate at the Blue Plate Café before we left on Saturday morning, but were not impressed.
-Great location -- just a short walk away from Beale Street, the Peabody Hotel, and the National Civil Rights Museum.
-Karen, the manager, was very friendly.
-The condo was decorated nicely and was clean.
-Plenty of linens were available, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils -- great perk if you plan on preparing your own meals during your stay.
-Karen is very prompt in coming over to open the condo upon your arrival and comes over to collect the keys when you depart.
-2 car garage...bonus!
-Free WiFi is advertised as an amenity; however, during our stay, we were not able to get the WiFi to work. We contacted Karen (she contacted the owner), but we were never able to find a solution to the issue. This usually would not be a big deal, but we had planned on doing some Black Friday online shopping since we were out of town and did not plan on doing any major in store shopping.
-The contract states that a (refundable) safety deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your stay. I did not receive my deposit until January 10. This was after I contacted the manager and owner of the property
