Roll Tide Weekend!

5 of 5
My family just returned home from a wonderful weekend at Holston River Retreat. Marty and Archie helped make this weekend amazing from our arrival late Thursday night to our departure Sunday morning. Anything you could imagine was provided for us from coffee, creamer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, snacks, candy, breakfast treats. There was even some beverages in the fridge just waiting for us! They called or texted everyday to make sure all our needs were being met. They had the fire pit ready to go, all we had to do was light a match and it was an AMAZING fire! The house was beautifully decorated with a nice kitchen, but who needs all that when you have a great view!?! We spent most of the time that we were there either in the hot tub, sitting on once of the decks overlooking the river, or fishing down at the dock. Holston River retreat is about 40 mins to downtown Pigeon Forge and 10 mins from UT (and that was with traffic). We can't wait to come back next time Bama is in town for another football game and great weekend!

Very good location for Metro Knoxville Activities

4 of 5
This is a log cabin not the Ritz Carlton. Very good location but needs some spring cleaning and amenity updates. Hot tub not maintained properly (we have one at home) and TV in pool room had no way to connect cable even though cable was run to the area. Several dishes and glasses need to be replaced due to cracks/chips. Downstairs bunk bed OK for kids/youth but not easily accessible for mature adults. Master BR fan wobbles and contacts the beam it is mounted on making a loud noise. Lots of cobwebs, dust and vent grills need cleaning. Just make sure the amenities and fixtures have been updated and the unit is cleaned thoroughly before your arrival. For the price we paid I'm fairly confident we could have stayed in the Sevierville area in a better maintained unit. And watch your head going down the stairs to the basement if you are 6' or taller!

A Luxurious Cabin with every convenience

5 of 5
This place is perfect. The smell of fresh cut wood greets you on arrival. It looks like a modern log cabin, but it is fully outfitted, fully finished luxurious 2 bedroom home with everything about the stay easy, comfortable, and clean. The outdoor hot tub is a nice bonus feature. 10 minutes to the airport and downtown Knoxville, and 75 minutes to Smokey Mountain National Park. This place is a real pleasure and a real value.
