We spent a week here in July 2014 with 2 adults and 2 kids (one in a wheelchair). Although the property is not wheelchair accessible (which we knew going in), it was 1 story and we could find a way in without steps. The house is very clean and the kitchen in particular is very updated (love the magnetically closing drawers). The home is not fancy but everything from the living room furniture to the fire pit in top grade and well maintained. The beds were incredibly comfortable (especially the day bed in the dining room -- which makes better decorating sense than you would expect). The most important thing to us was that the house be close to UT, and it was definitely less than 15 minutes door to door. I expected to find that either the pictures on VRBO were not accurate or that they had exaggerated how far it was from UT. And I was proved wrong. We only left the house to go to UT. Otherwise we enjoyed the wonderful outdoor spaces including the grill, hot tub and fire pit. We also Kayaked on the river putting in at the bottom of the boat ramp on the property. And everyone in the entire neighborhood (but especially the owners) were extremely nice and helpful. We took my daughter to a park and there was a birthday party going on and the kids invited my daughter to participate and even gave her a favor bag! As we were leaving for the last time on the one lane road that is the only way in or out, there was a semi truck that had backed into a house and gotten stuck. The rental owners drove up the road to see what was happening and, when it was clear that the road would be blocked for a while, got one of the neighbors to escort his through his property following his tractor so we wouldn't have to wait for the road to clear. I am pretty sure following Mike through his pasture with donkeys trailing behind was the highlight of the trip for my city kids! I could go on and on about this wonderful property and the awesome owners. It is quite the hidden gem.
